As a qualified counsellor I feel that the relationship that is developed between you and I in the counselling space is vitally important. In day to day life we perhaps encounter all different types of relationships, some that feel more natural then others. After the assessment session, I will ask that you give yourself a couple a days to decide if they feel comfortable in working with me. The 1st session we have together will be an assessment session, this is where we will decide if we can work together. There may be cases where we are unable to work together such as:
•·If during the course of therapy, adoption issues become the main focus of our work.
•· We feel we have not connected together.
•· Your needs could be better met with another counsellor or health care professional. If we decide we can work together, we will look at the amount of sessions offered to yourself. At the end of agreed number of sessions we will review how your process is going and where appropriate I will offer you further sessions. I feel it is important for you to know that when you have signed the contract you still have the choice to end our work together at any time. I do believe that ending sessions are an integral part of the counselling process and were possible we will try to consider this. How I work:

I believe that we are all unique in our own way and we all react differently to life events. That’s why I work with Integrative counselling as it may help many individuals. This style of counselling draws upon different theories that may help you. Humanistic approach- Works very much from the here and now. You will look at your world from your perspective and explore choices you have and gain a deeper self-awareness. Psychodynamic Approach: Looks at past events in your life and explores the significant from your perspective. CBT: Focuses on your thought process and your cognitive responses. We can explore the purpose of certain thoughts and responses we have and look at the choices you have in altering them. All the above approaches integrate together and can enable to have deeper self-awareness and a greater self-esteem. I also acknowledge that talking about yourself may not be easy, if you wish we can also work creatively to enable yourself to express in a way that works for you. The counselling service I offer may help you explore:

- Any Confusions you may have
