I wanted to share our story, my Daughters journey and just some of the natural and herbal solutions I used to tackle her chronic eczema with incredible results.
After years of battling with eczema and a lifetime of flare ups and steroid prescriptions from around the age of 2, my 11 year old daughters eczema took an all time low last year. The more I tried to wean her off the steroids the worse her condition got. I had no idea that topical steroid withdrawal was a thing and worse than the condition itself.
Swipe the post to see her before and after treatment protocol pictures. These are just her legs however about 80% of her body including her face was like this.
Eczema is a common skin condition that
affects one in every five children in the UK. Whilst it presents as a skin issue it is often a more deeply embedded problem. Because of this, treatment cannot purely focus on the symptoms but rather the root cause (something that modern western medicine and pharmaceutical companies seem to ignore). Causes often relate to allergens, food, stress and anxiety.
I decided to throw everything I’ve ever learnt at it and we worked on a ‘whole person approach’. We used herbs and plant medicine to clear toxins, strengthen her digestive and immune system, reduce inflammation and target the bodies system.
Here are just five of the steps we took.
🌱We firstly took her off wheat and dairy for a set period and then worked on re-introducing them by pacifying the body’s auto immune and allergy response using herbs like nettle and chamomile.
🌱We used oregano oil with antioxidant, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.
🌱We strengthened her immune system with a medicinal mushroom supplement.
🌱We cleared toxins using stimulant herbs like burdock and dandelion.
🌱We saw a homeopath who prescribed remedies to support her emotional well being and help manage her anxiety.
Herbal medicine is not a one size fits all approach. For it to be effective you need to treat the person.
The results speak for themselves. I’ll be taking on clients from January 2024. Drop me a DM to get on the waiting list.
