Join us for a calming and creative afternoon at our next Relax & Create session.

🗓 14th March
⏰ 2:00pm – 4:00pm
📍 Old School, Wells Hall Road, Great Cornard

We will begin with a gentle guided relaxation session to help you unwind and reset. Then we’ll move into a soothing, hands-on activity — making your own therapy dough to take home.

Therapy dough is a wonderful sensory tool that can help:
• Ease stress and anxiety
• Support grounding and mindfulness
• Encourage creativity and calm
• Provide a simple relaxation tool to use at home

You’ll leave feeling relaxed, rebalanced, and with your own handmade dough to continue your self-care.

In a world that often encourages us to give endlessly to others, this session offers a gentle pause to turn compassion, kindness, and appreciation inward.

As always, we will begin with a guided relaxation to help you settle, unwind, and arrive fully in the moment.

During this session, you will be guided through reflective and creative activities, including:
💖 Writing a love letter or poem to yourself
💖 Creating a Valentine’s card for yourself

This is a safe, supportive space to reconnect with yourself, honour your journey, and celebrate who you are.

🌿 Discover the Power of a Self-Care 🌿

In our busy, often overwhelming world, taking time to nurture ourselves is more important than ever. That’s why I created a self-care box designed to engage all your senses — touch, sight, smell, taste and sound — helping you slow down, reconnect, and restore balance.

Each item has been carefully chosen to encourage calm, comfort, and emotional well-being. From soothing scents and soft textures to comforting flavours and gentle sounds, the box invites you to pause and be present.

When I began using my own self-care box, I was amazed at how much it grounded me. It reminded me to breathe deeply, savour small moments, and treat myself with kindness. Over time, it became a powerful tool for emotional regulation and self-compassion — something I could turn to whenever life felt a little too heavy.

Now, I’m excited to share that we’ll be making our own self-care boxes together at the next Relax, Chat & Create Workshop on Saturday 11th October 2025, from 2–4pm, at The Old School House, Wells Hall Road, Great Cornard, CO10 0NH.
The sessions are £20 which covers the cost of all materials used and payment can be made on the day via cash

🌿 Feeling Overwhelmed? Grounding Techniques Can Help 🌿

When emotions feel overwhelming, and your thoughts become scattered, grounding techniques are a powerful tool to help bring you back to the present moment. These simple practices can help you regain control and promote emotional regulation.

💡 Quick Grounding Exercises:

5-4-3-2-1 Technique: Identify 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.

Breathing Focus: Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, and exhale for 4 to calm your nervous system.

Physical Connection: Hold a comforting object or press your feet firmly into the ground to reconnect with your body.

These techniques can create a sense of stability and calm, especially when emotions feel out of control.

If you’re struggling with emotional regulation, know that support is available. Seeking therapy is an important step in prioritizing your mental health. 🌱
