We have received a lovely thank you from one of our families that we helped recently. We always say how grateful we are when we receive a note like this as we understand how much families are going through after losing a family member and it means a lot that they find time to contact us…. 🙏

It is so reassuring that you calmly made sure everything was in place. You went above and beyond to collect my dear Mum on Christmas Eve, we felt much happier she was with you. Orders of service, flower deliveries, dignified crematorium service and of course you being there quietly but very busily attending to everything at Alpheton Church for us as well.

We are so grateful for all you have done and would always recommend you to others as and when the time comes.”

Many in the village will have known Elizabeth, wife of Rev Rex Bird, Lavenham Rector 1964-1976. We were honoured to have looked after her funeral service recently in Chelsworth Church, followed by burial in the Churchyard.

The family asked if we had a Victorian wheeled bier, which we do indeed have. It hadn’t been used for a while but we were proud to be able to offer this to the family for the funeral. The family had the honour of bringing Elizabeth into the church themselves as you can see in the short clip attached below.

We just wanted to mention the hard work that David Deacon put in to arrange the beautiful star on the top of the Church tower this Christmas. It took a lot of planning - not least getting the 4’ star up to the top of the tower! Thank you to East Ltd, who kindly made the star and donated it to the church. David then entwined it with hundreds of lights! It was lit up just in time for the Lavenham Christmas Lights being switched on and looks very beautiful at night 🌟

The memorial tree is now in place in the Churchyard. We have provided little heart tags in the box so please help yourself to a tag and write your message on it for your loved one…. 🥰🎄

We will shortly be updating our page with the amazing amount of money raised for charities through Much Loved, the service that we provide on our website.

This money is raised by families who have chosen us to look after their funeral service and chosen a charity for donations in memory of their loved ones.

Today we received this certificate from Alzheimer’s Research UK showing that this one charity benefited from the kindness of families and friends x
