✨ANNIE’S HYROX STORY✨

Meet Annie - 74 years young, endlessly determined and now officially a HYROX Singles finisher after completing her FIRST EVER HYROX race last Friday. 💥

Here’s the thing; although Annie’s been a keen gym goer for some time, the combined strength, running, & endurance requirements of something like a Hyrox made this goal a serious challenge! Where she is now is not where she was at the start of the year. She decided to test herself – and wow, what a journey it’s been.

And she smashed it. 🎉

With an incredible time of 2 hours and 11 minutes – although truthfully, just finishing it at all is an enormous achievement.

But Annie didn’t just grind through it. We’ve been working with her all year to ensure she’d be in the best possible position to excel – and that’s exactly what she did.

She tackled every station, every run, every challenge with pure stoicism and unwavering determination, achieving the enormous goal she set for herself.

And the best part?
Just days later, she’s already locking in her next targets.🎯

For anyone unfamiliar with Hyrox, it’s one of the world’s fastest-growing fitness competitions – a unique blend of strength & endurance. Competitors complete 8 physical challenges, each separated by a 1 km run.

It’s a serious physical challenge at any age – which makes Annie’s achievement even more extraordinary.

Based on everything we’ve been able to find, Annie is likely one of the oldest women globally ever to compete in the HYROX Singles category.

Not only is this an incredible personal milestone for her… it’s a powerful reminder of why we do what we do – helping people build strength, confidence, resilience, and the ability to keep doing the things they love for decades to come.

Let me ask you something...

You know that feeling where you promise yourself you’ll train three times a week, eat better, drink more water… and then suddenly it’s Friday and you’ve done none of it?


Yeah, you’re not the only one.

Consistency is one of the biggest things people struggle with. Not because they’re lazy or unmotivated, but because life is messy and trying to figure it all out on your own is exhausting.

Most people don’t need another “grind harder” speech. They need a bit of structure, some accountability, and a plan that actually fits into their life.

Here’s one thing that helps:

Lower the bar.

No, seriously. Most people fall off track because they set the bar so high they can’t hit it consistently. So they miss one session, feel guilty, and then ghost their whole routine. Or they have one “bad” meal and dive face first into the biscuit cupboard.

Instead, build a “bare minimum” version of your week. Something you can do even when life is busy.

That might be one short workout and hitting your protein target most days. Not perfect, but way better than falling off completely. And it keeps the habit alive.

The perfect time doesn’t exist!

We’ve heard it all before:

➡️ “I’ll start when work calms down.”
➡️ “I just need to get in better shape first.”
➡️ “Next Monday. No, wait, next month.”

Spoiler alert: Life will always be busy. There will never be a perfect time. And waiting until you feel “ready” usually just means more time stuck in the same cycle.

The good news? You don’t need the perfect time; you just need a plan that fits into your real life. That’s where we come in. No waiting. No overthinking. Just real, sustainable progress.

🏔️ Final Stage of the Sea to Summit UltraMarathon Charity Challenge – This Weekend! 🏃‍♂️

Hey everyone, I’m David, one of the coaches here at E3 Fitness, and this weekend I’ll be taking on the final part of my Sea to Summit Ultra Marathon Challenge – the third and final ultra of the series.

The concept is simple… but brutal.

Each event starts at sea level, then I run to the summit of one of the UK’s highest mountains - and back down again. That’s 30+ miles of running and thousands of metres of elevation in every single event.

I’ve not entered into this coming from a running background, In fact I started this year struggling to run 3km and nursing an injury.

In recent weeks, I’ve completed:
🏔️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Scafell Pike (England) – 33.5 miles / 53.6 km with over 2,000 m of ascent across steep rocky climbs, waterfall scrambles, and slippery gravel descents.

🏔️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Snowdon (Wales) – 29 miles / 46.6 km and 1,700 m of ascent on race day before 50mph winds forced us to turn back mid-way up the mountain. I went back the next morning to finish what I started, adding another 12.5 miles (20.12 km) and 1,100 m of ascent to reach the summit.

Now, it’s time for the final chapter: Ben Nevis, Scotland – the highest mountain in the UK. The big guy! 🏔️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

With battered feet, blistered toes, tired legs, and everything that’s come before, this one’s going to be tough! There’s a lot of miles and a lot of ascent still to cover, but I’m determined to see it through to the end.

This whole challenge is in support of Children with Cancer UK, an incredible charity funding vital research and supporting families through unimaginably tough times.

So far, I’ve raised £1,350. I’ve been humbled by the support and it would mean the world to hit £1,500 by the final finish line. Every single donation makes a real difference. 🙏
