Throughout sessions we strive to educate our clients on how to create realistic and sustainable strategies that enables them to live their lives to the fullest and still achieve their goals. It’s not about living on dust and celery, neither is it about eating chicken, broccoli & rice out of tupperwares 6 times per day. It’s about finding an approach that fits your lifestyle and that you actually enjoy (making you more likely to actually do it) and still steers you towards your targets & a healthier lifestyle.

One of our incredible members at E3 Fitness Personal Training Studio came to us to work on longevity - to build physical resilience, feel stronger and more energised day to day, and to keep doing the things she loves for years to come.

She decided to challenge herself by competing in HYROX (a hybrid fitness competition made up of 8km of running and 8 workout stations), with the simple goal of just finishing the event.

Fast forward a few weeks… and she’s now qualified for the World Championships in Stockholm! 🏆

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the lovely team from BOXROX, who came to interview Annie and us about her journey so far.

🎥 Behind the scenes with BOXROX 🎥

Recently we had the pleasure of welcoming to the studio to talk all things HYROX - from how we approach training, to what thoughtful preparation for the sport really looks like.

We discussed what goes into building strength, resilience, and endurance for HYROX, how training should be adapted to the individual, and why long-term consistency matters far more than quick fixes.

As part of the conversation, we shared insights into Annie’s training, using her journey as an example of how HYROX can be approached in a way that supports capability and longevity. We discussed how her journey to the World Championships has sprung from curiosity of what her body is capable of, rather than comparison to others.

We’re incredibly grateful to BOXROX for helping share a story that challenges expectations and highlights what’s possible when training is approached with patience, purpose, and consistency.

More to come soon ✨👀

A client said something today that comes up all the time:

“I need to exercise more so I can lose weight.”

Here’s the reality - exercise alone is a pretty inefficient fat loss tool.

You could burn thousands of calories training… then undo it with one meal without even realising.

Yet so often, exercise is viewed only through the lens of weight loss.

That’s like buying the latest iPhone and using it solely as a paperweight.

Yes, technically it’ll stop your papers blowing away - but it does so much more than that. You’re missing 99% of its value

That’s why seeing exercise only as a way to lose weight is so limiting.

Regular exercise (particularly resistance training) can:
• Build and maintain muscle mass
• Improve bone density
• Support joint health and mobility
• Increase metabolic health
• Reduce injury risk
• Improve posture and reduce aches & pains
• Boost energy, mood and confidence
• Improve brain health, focus and memory
• Reduce stress and support long-term cognitive function

Training isn’t just about changing how your body looks.
It’s about changing how your body works; physically and mentally - now, and in the years to come.

If you’re ready to train for strength, health and longevity - not just a number on the scale; get in touch. 🤩

Today, a client said something that really stuck with me 🤔

He talked about how different he feels on the days he trains versus the days he’s stuck at his desk - more energy, less stiffness, clearer head, better mood.

And he’s not alone.

Long periods of inactivity don’t just make us feel stiff - they impact circulation, joint health, posture, strength, and even how well we manage stress and fatigue.

Over time, that lack of movement can quietly chip away at how capable and resilient we feel in our bodies.

The good news?…

Movement doesn’t have to be extreme to be effective.

Prescribed, purposeful movement and targeted strengthening can dramatically change how the body feels - improving mobility, reducing aches, boosting energy and supporting long-term health and longevity.

Training isn’t just about performance or aesthetics.

It’s about feeling better today, and building a body that continues to serve you well for years to come.

If you’re spending most of your day at a desk and want to feel stronger, more mobile, and more energised, don’t hesitate to get in touch. 😊

Preparations have begun in the build up to the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm. 🇸🇪🏆

Back in December, demonstrated that anything is possible and you can redefine limits if you stay curious about what your body is capable of, at any age!

We’re excited by this next phase in her training. Christmas is out of the way and we have our eyes focused on the task ahead.

It’s also an exciting week for us here as joins us in the studio to film training, conduct interviews and document Annie’s incredible journey so far! 🤩

This morning we had BBC Radio Suffolk visit the studio to interview Annie and Vicky, shining a light on Annie’s journey and the thinking behind her training.

The conversation went beyond races and results. It focused on ageing well, building physical resilience, and why staying curious about what your body can do is one of the most powerful tools we have as we get older.

Annie trains with a simple philosophy:
not to compete with others, but to stay strong, capable, and independent for as long as possible.

Every session, every rep, an investment in her future health.

We’re incredibly grateful to BBC Radio Suffolk for giving space to a story that challenges assumptions and encourages people of all ages to rethink what’s possible.

Last night, Annie’s journey reached living rooms across the county on ITV News - and the response has been incredible!

What makes this moment so special isn’t just a race completed or a championship qualification. It’s the conversation it sparks:
about ageing well, about physical resilience, and about what’s possible when you maintain a curiosity for what your body can do.

Annie doesn’t train to beat anyone else. She trains to stay strong, capable, and independent for as long as possible.

“Every rep is paying into my health pension.”

This is why we coach the way we do. And this is exactly the message we’re proud to stand behind.

✨🎥 A VERY SPECIAL DAY AT THE STUDIO 🎥✨

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming ITV News into the studio to shine a light on Annie and her incredible journey.

We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to showcase not just an amazing physical achievement, but the message behind it:

✨ANNIE’S HYROX JOURNEY CONTINUES ✨

Since completing her first-ever HYROX Singles race, Annie received an email that stopped us all in our tracks.

She has officially qualified for the HYROX World Championships 2026
…and has been invited to compete in Stockholm.

At 74 years young.

Last week, Annie came in to sit down with us, talk it through, and map out what this next chapter could look like. After thoughtful consideration, she said yes.

After Christmas, we’ll be dialling in her training towards the World Championships - and of course, as her coaches, we’ll be flying out to Stockholm to support her every step of the way. 🇸🇪✈️

We couldn’t be prouder to be part of this journey.

What makes Annie’s story so powerful isn’t placings or comparisons. Her motto says it all:
“Complete, rather than compete.”

This is a deeply personal journey - about testing her own limits, staying curious about what her body is capable of, and continuing to invest in her future health.

Annie often says:
“Every rep of every exercise is paying into my health pension.”

She’s doing the work now so she can continue to do more - not just next year, but for decades to come.

We absolutely adore the message this sends.
Strength has no age limit.
It’s never too late to begin.
And the goal doesn’t have to be to beat anyone else - just to keep moving forward.

Stockholm, here we come 🤩💪
