Thank you so much for all the messages of love and condolences. I’m grieving hard in honestly. I miss my little marra so much and the silence without him is just heartbreaking. Because of this, I’m taking a gentle sabbatical from social media and will be continuing this until new year.

I’m in the middle of a rebrand.

As I mentioned recently, I’m slowly moving away from retail, so once current stock is gone, that’ll be it.

My focus will now be fully on treatments and with this shift, a transformation felt long overdue.

In honesty The Professional Widow no longer reflected what I do (I’ve also gone right off the lilac!).

You might have already spotted .and.skin on Instagram, if not, please give it a follow. I’ll still be posting here for a little while yet, but if you’re drawn to a slower, more intentional space, that’s where you’ll find me.

There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.

Here’s a post I never wanted to make, but hey ho.

I’ve been getting a lot of inappropriate and energy-draining messages lately (top tip: don’t put your WhatsApp details on your Google Business page as I *think* that’s where most of them have come from).

Every time I’ve allowed someone to overstep a boundary, I’ve ended up regretting it. So, moving forward, I’ve had to put some ground rules in place:

1. The Studio Is Appointment Only - I don’t know how many times I’ve had to say this, but I still get people asking if they can just “pop in for one or two things.” I really appreciate the support, but no — please book an appointment, a pickup, or a delivery.

2. Witch For Hire Consultations - I had to create the Witch For Hire service because I was being bombarded with questions and was giving away energy, time and guidance that went unreciprocated. From now on, any requests for information or advice will be sent a booking link. If you go ahead, we’ll arrange a Zoom consultation and move forward from there. My energy and expertise are part of my practice and I simply can’t continue giving them away for free.

3. Operating Hours - I won’t be replying to messages outside of my working hours anymore. My screen time is already high enough.

4. Body Massage Treatments - Anyone who knows me knows I’ve always been an advocate for men’s mental health, and I truly believe everyone deserves access to treatments that help them feel relaxed, grounded and cared for. Sadly, the volume of sexually inappropriate messages I’ve received has made this increasingly difficult and in honestly, is quite worrying. With this in mind, I now only offer body massage treatments to women. Everything else (except Yoni Steaming) remains unisex.

Sorry if this post is a bit Debbie Downer, but the above has really being getting on top of me and I really needed the whinge.

I’m slowly winding down the retail side of The Professional Widow.

This last year has made me realise it just doesn’t spark the same joy it once did. I've got things going on that I'm currently working through, along with future plans that are slowly taking shape and in honesty I just dont have the time, space or energy to keep this side of the business going.

Where It All Began…

The Widow turns 5 years old next month and honestly, when I look back at how much has changed in that time, I’m floored.

TPW started off as my lockdown project and all my stock crammed into this very trunk in my bedroom. Crazy when I compare it to The Portal these days.

In the last half a decade I’ve become a qualified Beauty and Holistic therapist, a Reiki Master and there’s still more to come. I just bloody love learning and I dont see that ever stopping.

I really feel that I’ve found my ikigai. I’m more confident, skilled, happy, and grateful than I’ve ever been… all because past-me said: “Ahh, f**k it – what’s the worst that could happen?”.

Along the way, I’ve met so many lush people too. Clients, customers, market organisers, online pals. I literally love you all git loads. 💜

🌈It finally happened, I’m an official Reiki Master. 🥹🥳

🌈My Reiki journey originally started during lockdown when I was a depressed hot mess, I was attuned to Level 1 in 2022 and Level 2 in 2023 which is when I started holding appointments with you lot.

🌈In honesty I never planned on becoming a Reiki Master. I was quite happy in my lane, doing my own thing but this year I’ve felt a huge push to go for it and here we are. It just seemed that life was far too hectic to commit my full attention to the preparation needed. Im actually grateful as it’s made me realise that I need to slow down and stop trying to do everything at once.
