A big hello from us all at Springfield 🙋‍♀️ What a lovely day it’s been, Easter celebrations are well underway here! We got crafting this morning and designed some amazing Easter bonnets, we certainly have very talented ladies and gentlemen. Beautiful Easter bonnets made ready to show off at our Easter party parade tomorrow. We enjoyed the sunshine on the decking, had a cuppa as we listened to some 60s favourites.
This afternoon we got settled in the cinema and lounges for the residents who wanted to relax then onto a Springfield favourite… High tea social, we set the tables with Easter decorations, our best china and delicious cakes. What a wonderful afternoon we had, great company, lots of tea and sweet treats, perfect! 👌
1 to 1 outdoor social time, room visits to engage and catch up on all the news and up and coming events. A busy and fulfilling day.

Good evening all 🙋‍♀️
It’s been a wellbeing Wednesday here at Springfield, morning warms ups and then on to active time. Skittles and golf competitions, socialising with friends while keeping fit and the all important hydration and healthy eating break.
We finished our session with some favourite tunes and sing alongs.
1 to 1 pet therapy with Teddy all around the home, room social visits, easter reminiscence.
This afternoon we got all our beautiful Easter decorations finished ready to start our celebrations, we had movies in the cinema, delicious snack trays to enjoy and more 1 to 1 engagement. A busy day full of fun! With Carole 👍🍿🎼🍓☀️

Good evening from the Bee beautiful salon 🙋‍♀️
A busy Tuesday in the salon for us here at Springfield and our cinema had morning and afternoon movie matinee and a visit from the sweet treat trolley. Salon appointments with Carole for meaningful 1 to 1 pampering, from cut and blow waves to gents grooming. Nothing better than a nice cup of coffee, a catch up on all the news and a lovely new hair do! Making everyone feel a million dollars, we even had time to do some Easter decor ready for our celebrations to begin later this week!!! Today with Carole-head of events/therapies 👍🩷☕️🐝😍🎼🎥🍿

Happy Monday everyone 🙋‍♀️
What a wonderful Monday we’ve had, we started our Easter crafts and what a splendid job our residents made!!! With a Spring theme colour palette for our Easter cards and pottery decorations. We certainly know how to express our creativity at Springfield, well done everyone and more to come later in the week! We then had 1 to 1 time with room social visits, read and reminisce. We have a fantastic choice of dementia friendly books to enjoy for an engaging 1 to 1 interaction.
This afternoon was Easter celebration preparation after a meeting with our resident decoration committee.
Then movie matinee time in our cinema, icecreams all round and we were ready for the box set of musicals to start. Nothing better than putting your feet with a good film and some relaxation time!

Happy Friday everyone 🙋‍♀️
We had a wonderful morning of music, the parachute of life and laughter. Great fun singing along to our favourite tunes doing a bit keep fit and strengthening the upper body…. Music is definitely our inspiration here at Springfield, the smiles and happiness shared says it all! We then had refreshments as hydration is so important and especially after fitness fun, all refreshed and off to enjoy fish and chips!
1 to 1 sessions of read and reminisce, room visits for a cuppa and then some cognitive therapy on our interaction table.
This afternoon was all about relaxation therapy, after a full week of social engagement some relaxing therapies were needed so it was cinema time for movies. A visit from the cinema sweet trolley, a great selection of nibbles to choose from and next stop was our tv lounge with icecreams...
Perfect!!!

Good evening all🙋‍♀️
An amazing afternoon at our life skills club, our Cook with Carole session was a little different today. Not only did we choose a healthy nutritious menu but our residents prepared, cooked and then sat down to enjoy it together. 🍞🍽☕️
Nothing better than a picnic tea and good company to enjoy it with! ☑️Promoting life skills, ☑️cognitive and sensory stimulation with smells and touch. Preparing food can be therapeutic, empowering and also good for positive memory recall. What a fantastic cook with Carole session and evening meal shared with friends. ☑️Tailored therapies at Springfield with Carole 👌🥪🧁

Happy Thursday everyone 👍
A fun packed day from start to finish at Springfield. We started with the Big Quiz hosted by two of our gents. Great questions Tommy and a fantastic music round John. Well done everyone we had such a great morning together! Team 1 took the win and we are making plans for a slap up meal in our Cafe for the champs! We then got settled in our cinema, chose movies and enjoyed ice creams and nibbles as we relaxed….. perfect!
