Good evening everyone 👋
We had a lovely afternoon with family and friends at our “coffee and kindness” get together today. Delicious homemade cakes and scones with a nice cup of tea as we sat and enjoyed each others company. 🐝Spreading the kindness at Springfield 🐝. Thank you all for coming, see you next month - date to follow!

Happy Friday from Springfield 👌
It’s been a cold and wet day but we’ve been nice and cosy indoors socialising with friends. Games of skittles then onto golf and what good fun it was too. Morning active games get us warmed up for the day ahead, there’s always plenty laughter thrown in which makes it a perfect way to spend our fun Friday’s.
We then got together in our relaxing family lounge for a small group cognitive session on the interaction table. With music quiz, memory exercises, colour therapy all tailored to individual enjoyment.
Carole was busy with some of our ladies and doing Christmas decoration preparation, exciting times ahead!!! This afternoon we had our monthly family coffee and cake get together, ‘world kindness’ was the theme for coffee and kindness with a little gift for all our visitors today!!

And so preparations begin….. It’s Christmas time at Springfield which is our favourite time of the year!!
Our Handy Andy Elf has been out today to help me with the all important festive decorations, (always safety conscious here at Springfield with all our decorations)!!
Our seasonal resident committee have helped to decide what the decor themes are, and away we go at making our home into the special winter wonderland they want! Stay tuned for updates…….

Good evening from the Bee beautiful salon 🐝 💇🦋
We’ve had a busy appointment book today, colours, ladies and gents cuts, blow waves and treatments. Making everyone look and feel fabulous in our beautiful salon! Nothing better than a pamper session for boosting confidence plus we have lots of teas, coffees and cake, now that's service 💋💯.

Happy Wednesday to you all from Springfield staff and residents !
Wonderful Wednesday spent keeping active, improving mobility while enjoying a good game of table tennis. We then had 1 to 1 time with our hug bears, giving comfort from the soft heart beat rhythm enclosed also give a sense of reassurance and care.
This afternoon was time for the gents to get together, games, brain training and great conversation. The ladies relaxed, had hair appointments, chose movies and put their feet up with a cuppa. With Carole and Kathleen🦋💥🎥🌟🏙️👍

Good evening from us all at Springfield 👋
We’ve shared another day of remembrance reminiscence starting this morning in our ladies and gents clubs. While engaging in our book club and ladies projects we shared family stories of our loved and lost and looked at keepsakes from our poppy display table. At 11am we participated in a minutes silence marking the sacrifices made by so many soldiers for their country. We reminisced with remembrance theme music which evoked so many meaningful heartfelt memories. A morning full of reflection and importance to our residents, above are just a few photographs from our two days of remembrance at Springfield.
We had 1 to 1 social visits, continuing with our Remembrance Day for the residents who chose to remain in the privacy of their rooms today.
We enjoyed a small group coffee social, tea and sweet treats enjoyed by all in the best company.
We also had movies showing in the cinema room, relaxation and refreshments.
A very meaningful day shared.🌺☕️🥇🎶📚📗

Good evening everyone 👋
We’ve been busy socialising indoors today, it’s been a cold day but we were all cosy in our music room and inviting lounges. We started with active time this morning, the parachute of life is a perfect way to start a Monday. Lifting mood, upper body strengthening and improving flexibility and cognition. The parachute accompanied with some favourite music made for a fantastic morning for all wanting to participate.
We had an afternoon of meaningful 1 to 1 time with our residents, from pet therapy, room visits to cognitive therapy on our interaction table. Promoting interests, tailored engagement from football, music to comedy clips.
