Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. 87% of those with a high-grade diagnosis don’t survive beyond five years. Yet brain cancer receives just 1% of the national research budget, and treatments haven’t meaningfully changed in decades.

That’s not sad. That’s a systemic failure.
A petition is currently before Parliament demanding increased funding and access to cutting-edge treatments. It takes 60 seconds to sign.

Part 2 of our blog exploring ADHD from a slightly different perspective is now live.

I want to thank everyone for the positive feedback for part one which was on the whole really well received with only a few people receiving it in a negative way.

I just want to be 100% clear, I am not, never have been nor never will be dismissive of ADHD or not accepting or not understanding of the struggles that people with ADHD suffer. I am accepting and understanding of everyone’s struggles in this forever challenging world.

This part of the blog explores some interesting research studies which really surprised myself.

Children today are less free than they have ever been, and this lack of freedom is a major reason for the rise in mental disorders.

This is a free community initiative created to open up supportive, honest conversations around some of life’s most challenging experiences. Our very first group will focus on supporting those who are bereaved or caring for someone with cancer, creating a safe, understanding space where no one has to feel alone.

After eight years as a therapist, I'm watching something that troubles me: people reaching for diagnostic explanations rather than exploring what it means to be human and struggling.

Well unfortunately the time has come that I've been avoiding for quite some time. As of 1st February 2026 we are faced with no other option but to raise our prices for private therapy from £50 plus vat to £55 plus vat per session. I'm sure you can all appreciate that this is a decision that I've not come to lightly but hopefully you can also understand that after keeping the same price for the past five years, albeit a great acheivement, is just not sustainable as a small business in the current climate.

To counteract this price increase, we have made the decision to make our 'order six sessions and pay for five' special offer a permament feature and this is available with immediate effect.

On a plus note, We are going through significant changes within the new year where we plan to provide a whole lot more for you our clients and our community so please keep your eyes peeled for more details over the next few days.

Tis the season to be jolly apparently, which means I guess, that the lovely office staff want some time off work. Our office will be closed from Friday 19th December and reopen on 5th January 2026.

Please know that I will still be accessing emails and messages occasionally when I can and I will respond to any queries where possible.

Some of our counsellors are still working on various days over the festive period so please check directly with your counsellor for their working hours. 😀✌️
