Stepping into teaching is exciting, messy, vulnerable, and deeply meaningful all at once. You don’t need to be perfect, you don’t need to know everything, and you don’t need to have it all figured out (although a good 200hr YTT will mean you hopefully have a good amount figured out 🤣🫣).

Keep showing up, stay curious, and enjoy the journey.

Whether you’re a brand new teacher or right in the middle of your YTT, here’s a reminder to trust yourself. You’re growing beautifully. ✨

If you want to join my 200hr YTT at in Sunderland starting September 2026, comment TEACHER below.

Once upon a time, I was in London with a “fantastic” post-grad job—the kind that ticks every box, looks great on a CV, and makes everyone say, “Wow, you’re doing so well.”
But what people didn’t see was me, staring at the clock day after day, counting the seconds until I could leave. I felt like I was living someone else’s version of success.

I tried to push through it.
I told myself to think of the salary, to be grateful, to just keep going.
But none of it worked. I felt like a hamster on a wheel—running but not getting anywhere meaningful.

Then came the realisation: I’m allowed to choose differently. I’m allowed to build a life that feels like mine.

So I quit. I booked a one-way flight to Vietnam. I let go of the version of myself that was trying to fit into a box that was never meant for me.
And that’s where I found yoga.

Not long after, I followed another intuitive nudge and moved to Canada to complete my yoga teacher training. That decision changed my life in ways I never could’ve predicted.

The rest? Well… the rest is beautifully unfolding.

Life is full of big things right now — exciting changes, new chapters, and so much to look forward to. But I’m really intentional about not wishing any of this time away… and staying present for the small moments that make life feel whole.

Spent a wholesome day exploring Grasmere this week with and Sammy 🐾

These are the moments that ground me and make all the big things even sweeter.

Here’s to living for the small things — always. 🌿🤍

It’s COMPLETELY normal.

I’ve been practising yoga for 10 years now, and I’ve been a teacher for nearly 8. I’ve taught over 3,000 hours of classes and completed almost 1,500 hours of training…
And I still have self-doubt.

Do I think it magically disappears with more years or more certificates? Not really. What actually happens is you learn to move with it. You learn to recognise it not as a sign that you’re not good enough, but as a sign that you care.

Self doubt shows up when we want to serve our students well. It appears when we’re expanding, learning, creating something new, or holding space for others. It whispers when we’re passionate. It nudges us when we want to grow.

But here’s the part I’ve learned over time:
Self doubt doesn’t mean “stop.”
It means “you’re stepping into something meaningful.”
Every teacher I admire, and every teacher who inspires me, has felt it too. They just didn’t let it decide their path.

So if you’re a new teacher worrying about your sequencing, your voice, your cueing, whether your class “landed,” or whether you’re ready… know this:
You don’t need to be perfect to teach yoga.
You just need to be present.
You just need to keep showing up.
You just need to stay curious, humble, and open.
And if self doubt is along for the ride?
Invite it to sit in the back seat.
You’re still the one driving.
