Free Positive Behaviour Support Workshops for Family Carers 🌟

Skills for People will be running Positive Behaviour Support Workshops in the new year for family carers with a child under 18 who is autistic, and/or has a learning disability, or who is on the waiting list for an assessment for autism and/or a learning disability.

The workshops are free for attendees and lunch is provided.

Booking is essential and participants must attend all three sessions to complete the course.

We may be a little late sharing this one, but it’s far too lovely not to post!

Last month our carers got up to pumpkin flower arranging, and it turned out amazing!🤗

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, taking some well-deserved time out to relax, chat and get creative.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was a joy to see so many smiles and beautiful creations.

We’re so excited to bring AutismAble to Sunderland - and even better, we’re bringing our much-loved Geek Café with us! 🎮

Our South Shields Geek Café has become one of our most popular groups, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Come along for our taster day on Monday 15th December and try out our first-ever Sunderland sessions:

🕹️ Geek Café: 4:30–5:30pm (Ages 13–25)
💬 Neurodiversity Discussion Group: 6:00–7:00pm (Ages 18+)

Whether you love gaming, fandoms, anime, sci-fi, comics - or just want a space where you can be yourself - our Geek Café is the perfect place to start!

And for adults, our Neurodiversity Discussion Group offers a relaxed and supportive space to talk about everyday life, opportunities, identity, and everything in between!
