New Tea Time Coffee Break 🧡 Just for Parent Carers ✨☕

We’re launching a convenient tea-time coffee break especially for parent carers!

Tuesdays
4:00pm – 5:30pm
FREE

Drop in for a cuppa, relax, and connect with other parent carers in a friendly, supportive space, all while your child is safely engaged in their session.

A little time for you at the end of the day ☕
No pressure, just support and community.

We are excited to announce that we are now able to offer every child a 🥪 FREE PACKED LUNCH! 🥪

With thanks to Sunderland and South Tynesides HAF programmes, we will be able to offer lot's of children a free packed lunch!

Lunches not covered by the programmes will be covered by Choice, so no child goes without 😊

As you can see below, the day is shaping up to be amazing, with soo many organisations and fun involved!

Carers on the Move - 2026 Dates Now Released!🚶‍♀️🌳

Join us every third Thursday of the month at 10:30am for a relaxed, friendly walk around some of Sunderland’s beautiful local spots (with the exception of March, which is Wednesday 18th!)

Our walks last around 45 minutes, cater for all abilities, and usually end with an optional visit to a café for refreshments and a chat ☕

It’s a chance to get some fresh air, meet other carers, and take a well-deserved break in a supportive environment.

Whether you’ve walked with us before or are thinking of coming along for the first time, you’ll be made to feel very welcome🤗♥️

Children's Mental Health Week 9th – 15th February

Next week is Children's Mental Health Week. Place2Be has all their free, official resources for Children's Mental Health Week 2026 on their website. There is lots of ideas and inspiration for you, from class activities and assemblies for schools, to top tips and creativity for families, to fundraising guides, plus bonus materials.

Take a look at the official:
• fundraising resources, including a fantastic fundraising pack and resources you can use to help your fundraising
• resources for families and communities, including top tips for families
• posters showing your support of the week
• social media graphics and example posts for you to use on your social media platforms.

There is also a fantastic creative activity from Place2Be's Art Room team – watch this space for the launch of the Child Health and Wellbeing Network's upcoming creative health campaign for more ideas how to use arts and creativity to support children's wellbeing.
