Perimenopause can feel like one of the quietest but most significant shifts in a woman’s life.

Your skin starts behaving differently, products you’ve trusted for years suddenly stop working, and you may look in the mirror and feel a little less like yourself, even if you can’t quite explain why.

The truth is, your skin isn’t “going downhill.” It’s responding to hormone changes that affect hydration, collagen, elasticity and sensitivity.

And with the right support, this stage can feel far less overwhelming and far more empowering.

If I were approaching perimenopause myself, these are the exact treatments I’d choose, not to chase youth, but to strengthen the skin, protect its structure and help it stay resilient 👉🏼

If you’re noticing early changes and want a plan that feels thoughtful, gentle and completely tailored to you, you’re always welcome to come in for a consultation 🤍

There is one thing I wish every patient understood before they ever booked a treatment: choosing who you trust with your face matters more than the treatment itself.

Medical aesthetics in the UK looks polished from the outside, but behind the scenes the regulations are far looser than most people realise. And that means your safety and your results rely heavily on the qualifications and experience of the person treating you. That is why conversations like this are so important.

So many people assume that aesthetics is about products, trends or the latest device, when in reality the most natural, elegant outcomes come from the clinician’s expertise. It is understanding anatomy, ageing patterns, proportions and how treatments interact over time that separates safe, subtle work from the overfilled, over-treated results we all want to avoid.

And while price can be tempting, it does not guarantee safety or quality. Low cost treatments may look appealing in the moment, but they often come with the highest risks and the lowest level of clinical oversight.

If you are considering treatment, the best thing you can do for yourself is choose someone qualified, experienced and transparent. Someone who prioritises your safety, your long term skin health and the result that looks right for you.

If you are unsure where to start or want honest guidance about the safest, most appropriate options for your face, come and see me for a consultation, and we can take it step by step together đź’Ś

All the little moments that make being an aesthetics doctor so rewarding 🤍

From the honest conversations in the treatment room, to the “I can’t wait to tell you what’s been happening,” to the trust that comes with “just do what you think is best” - these are the things that make this work feel meaningful.

Aesthetics is personal, but so are the relationships we build. And it’s often the smallest comments or habits that show me someone feels more confident, more supported and more like themselves.

So yes…I do love it when my patients 👉🏽

My worth-it list 🤍

✨️ Matching PJs

Because there’s something powerful about ending the day in soft, coordinated comfort.

✨️ Consistent skincare

Not a 10-step routine or needless products. Just the right ingredients used daily. It’s the one habit that always pays off and makes my skin feel healthy, steady and supported.

✨️ Microneedling

One of my favourite regenerative treatments. Gentle, effective and long-term. It keeps my skin stronger and more resilient without changing how I look.

✨️ Noise-cancelling headphones

For focused clinic work, early morning walks, and protecting my peace when the world feels loud. Truly a gift.

✨️ Therapy

Because emotional health is just as important as physical health. It keeps me grounded, self-aware and better able to show up for the people I care about.

✨️ Early bedtime

The simplest form of self-care and the one I resist the most. But nothing improves my skin, mood and clarity more than a proper night’s sleep.

All small choices. All worth it in ways that go far beyond convenience.
What would be on your worth-it list? 🤍

I talk a lot about ageing well, because ageing is a privilege, and looking after your skin is really about helping it age gracefully. But sometimes, it’s easier (and more fun) to flip the conversation.

If you actually wanted to age faster, to lose collagen quicker, dull your glow and make your skin a little less resilient, there are a few everyday habits that would do the trick beautifully.

Of course, I don’t recommend any of them. But knowing what speeds up ageing can help you understand how to slow it down, and make small, smart changes that really show over time.

So, if you want to age faster… here’s exactly how to do it (and what to do instead) 👉🏼

A lot of people want a little more shape or lift through the buttocks, but feel nervous about the risks that come with traditional filler. And honestly, that hesitation is completely understandable.

The area is complex, the stakes are higher, and safety has to come first. That is why treatments that work with your own body rather than relying on large volumes of filler are becoming the smarter choice.

Lanluma is one of the most reliable options for anyone who wants enhancement without that heavy, overfilled look. Instead of forcing volume into deep tissue, it encourages your body to build new collagen. The result is gradual, natural and far safer because the product stays in the correct tissue plane and works through regeneration rather than bulk.

The finish is soft and subtle. A gentle lift, a smoother contour and an improvement that looks like you, just with more support. It is ideal for people who want shape, not exaggeration, and who care about long-term results that feel authentic rather than artificial.

If you are exploring buttock enhancement and want a clearer understanding of your safest and most natural options, tap the link in my bio or send me a message. I can talk you through the full process and help you decide if this is the right approach for your goals đź’Ś

Your 40s can be such an interesting decade for your skin. Suddenly, things start to change, sometimes subtly, sometimes all at once.

What used to work perfectly might stop giving the same results, and you might notice new concerns creeping in: dryness, dullness, fine lines or a loss of firmness that wasn’t there before.

It’s not that your skin is misbehaving, it’s just evolving. Hormonal shifts, stress, and the natural slowing of collagen production all play a part.

With the right approach, this is also the decade where your skin can look stronger, healthier and more radiant than ever.

It’s not about overcomplicating things or starting from scratch, it’s about focusing on the steps that really make a difference.

Here’s what matters most for your skin in your 40s, the small, consistent habits that keep it resilient, luminous and balanced through this next chapter ➡️

Gloves on vs gloves off 🧤💉

This year has reminded me that you can hold space for both versions of yourself: the professional you, and the playful you. The one who’s dedicated to her craft, and the one who sits in the sun doing absolutely nothing. Both are important. Both are allowed. Both matter.

Here’s to the balance that keeps us grounded, energised and human. And here’s to bringing the best of both worlds into the new year ahead 🤍

We live in a world where new aesthetic trends appear almost daily, each one promising to be the next best thing.

From viral skincare hacks to the latest “must-have” treatments, it can feel impossible to keep up… or to know what’s genuinely worth your time and money.

But here’s the thing: not everything you see online is right for you. As an aesthetic doctor, I’ve seen first-hand how confusing and overwhelming this industry can feel, and how easily people end up doing too much, too soon.

So today, instead of influencing you to try something new, I want to do the opposite.

Let me deinfluence you, to slow things down, strip away the noise, and help you focus on what actually matters when it comes to healthy, natural, confident ageing 👉🏼

If you are trying to decide between threads or filler for jowls, here is the truth nobody really explains.

Jowls are not caused by one single issue, which means there is no one-size-fits-all treatment. The trick is understanding why they have formed in the first place. For some people, it is a loss of support in the higher face that allows the lower third to soften. For others, it is genuine tissue laxity where the skin has simply started to descend. Both show up as jowls, but they need very different solutions.

Filler can work beautifully when the problem is a lack of structure in the mid face, because restoring that lift higher up naturally softens the heaviness below. What it should not be used for is filling directly into the jowl itself, because that only adds weight to an area that is already struggling.

Threads come into their own when laxity is the key driver. They give a direct, mechanical lift that repositions the tissues and redefines the jawline in a way that filler alone cannot achieve.

And very often, the most natural results come from using both strategically. Support where it is missing, lift where it is needed and avoid chasing the jowl itself.

If you want to understand which approach will give you the best result for your anatomy, tap the link in my bio to book a consultation or send me a message, and we can explore it together đź’Ś

“Why do I always look tired, even when I’m not”, it’s one of the most common questions I hear in clinic. Dark circles have a way of making us look less rested, less vibrant and, sometimes, less like ourselves.

The tricky thing is, there isn’t one simple cause, or one simple solution. For some, it’s genetics or skin thickness; for others, it’s lifestyle, hormones or structural changes that come with age. That’s why a cream alone rarely fixes the problem.

There are effective, evidence-based ways to improve dark circles and rejuvenate the under-eye area, you just need to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface first.

Let’s talk about what truly works for this delicate area, and how to bring back brightness and balance in the most natural way 👉🏼
