If your skincare shelf is overflowing but your skin still isn’t improving, it’s a sign the routine isn’t the problem - the strategy is 👇🏼
I see this all the time in clinic - people investing in good products, trying all the right trends, following all the right influencers…yet their skin still feels dull, congested, irritated or simply “stuck.”
And it’s rarely because you’re not doing enough. More often, it’s because the basics aren’t aligned with what your skin actually needs.
The truth is, a good routine doesn’t start with actives. It starts with a healthy skin barrier. Without that foundation, even the best ingredients struggle to work. So before thinking about retinoids, vitamin C or exfoliating acids, the focus should be on cleansing properly, hydrating well and wearing SPF every single day. These are the quiet steps that create the biggest long-term change.
Another reason people don’t see results is that routines often become too complicated. More products, more layers, more promises. But more isn’t more if your skin feels overwhelmed. Most people need fewer products, chosen more intentionally, not a 9-step ritual that feels like a part-time job.
And finally, skin needs to shift as we move through stress, hormones and different stages of life. What worked in your twenties may not work in your thirties or forties. What worked last winter might not suit you this summer. Listening to your skin - and adjusting accordingly - is how you see consistent improvement rather than constant trial and error.
If you’re unsure where to start or you’re not seeing the results you hoped for, I can help you build a routine that’s simple, effective and designed specifically for your skin.
If you'd like guidance, come and see me - either virtually or in-clinic, and I'll help you design a skincare plan that's right for you 🤍
