The home offers a variety of daily programmes and activities to entertain residents, and residents can also enjoy access to the Royal Sutton Coldfield Club bowling green. At Bishops Manor, the dedicated team are ready to help to create an individual care plan that’s tailored to each resident. It’s that time again time to celebrate some brilliant people who have gone above and beyond and been recognised with our December and January GEM awards. 💎 🏆 ✨

Our December GEM winner is Jenny. A huge shout out to you Jenny. Just six months into your role and we were inundated with the most lovely comments from colleagues and family members alike. You are consistently kind, gentle and hardworking and it has not gone unnoticed. We salute you Jenny keep up the amazing work. 🫡 🏆 ✨

Although a little early for January, the winner was absolutely clear. Our January GEM goes to our front of house superstar, Celia. For a multitude of reasons and again with an overwhelming number of comments highlighting your dedication professionalism and your willingness to go way above and beyond your role. You are a true credit to the team Celia and we are so grateful for everything you do. 👀⭐️🚀

And finally how could we not give a special shout out to the beautiful and talented Becca G. Becca visits us monthly and brings such joy to our residents team and families. We love you Becca. Your vibrant energy warmth and talent light up the room every single time and create such special moments for everyone. 🎤 🎶 ✨🚀

Today we were proud to officially open our Multi Faith and Wellbeing Room at Bishop’s Manor. 🪴 🙏🏽 💚 ✨

This space has been created with intention and care to honour the many faiths, denominations, cultures and backgrounds that make up our community. It is a place for prayer reflection quiet time and connection but above all a place where everyone is welcome. 🤩

The room was opened by Reverend Danny Brierley and Imam Siraj ud Din, two highly respected leaders within our local community. Together, they helped us focus on what connects us as people; understanding, respect, and care for one another, regardless of faith or background. 🙏🏽✨🚀

In a world that can often feel divided, this room stands as a gentle reminder that there is strength in togetherness and that faith takes many forms. ❤️✨

This is a space for residents, families and team members also. A place to pause and reflect, a serene space to pray or simply to sit quietly. A space that supports wellbeing in all its forms emotional, spiritual and mental. 🤩

At Bishop’s Manor we are proud to celebrate diversity and to create environments where people feel seen, valued and respected regardless of faith belief or background. 🫵🏼❤️✨

A little late to the party but a very heartfelt - HAPPY NEW YEAR from Bishops Manor 🏡 ❤️ ✨

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrating with our residents, their families and our incredible team. ❤️✨

Thank you to our dedicated team for everything they do and to our families for being such an important part of life at Bishops Manor; your trust, support and presence mean so much and a HUGE shout out to the kitchen team who went over and beyond to make it magical for everyone ✨🚀

We look forward to the year ahead with you all and we’re looking forward to making some fresh new memories 🥳✨

🎄 Merry Christmas Eve 🎄

We have been treated again here at Bishops Manor 🥳✨

The wonderful Jones family arrived bearing the most delicious baked goodies, all prepared and hand baked with so much love. Huge thank you to Gavin and his wife Kelly, sister Justine and their lovely mum Pauline. 🙏🏽 ✨

We were treated to the most incredible pumpkin pie, mince pies and cookies and wow they were absolutely amazing. 😻 🥳✨

Moments like this mean so much to our team. It is kindness generosity and thoughtfulness like this that makes our Bishops Manor community so special. 🏡 ✨

🎅🏽 The countdown is ON and we wanted to pause for a moment of gratitude. WHAT a year of magic we have had at Bishops Manor 🥳✨

Shoutouts 📣 ✨ We are incredibly grateful to our amazing team who show up day after day with care, professionalism and love. To our residents, who keep us smiling, grounded and on our toes. To our families, visitors and friends of the home, and to our wider community and professional partners who work alongside us and support us so consistently. You all play a part in what makes this place what it is. 🙏🏽 🥳✨

We would also like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to the families who kindly donated beautiful gifts for our staff raffle. Your generosity and thoughtfulness mean more than you know and have been so warmly and gratefully received by the team. 🎅🏽 🫶🏼✨

Our team works incredibly hard to make this home feel warm, safe and festive, while continuing to deliver the care our residents and families deserve; whilst Christmas is magical, it can also be emotive and a little overwhelming and for a myriad of reasons. ✨

We are always listening, and our doors are always open to everyone. We value open conversations and strong relationships, and we’re always striving to get things right. We know we won’t get everything perfect every time, but our intention is always to do our absolute best. 🎅🏽 🎄 ✨

At this time of year especially, how we speak, communicate, and engage with one another really does matter. Small moments of patience and understanding genuinely make a big difference, behind the scenes is a team showing up every day and giving it their all in a season that asks a lot of everyone 🙋🏼‍♀️❤️✨

🎄 Meet Carol and her beautiful daughters Liz and Lisa. 🎄 ✨

We often shout out our team, but today we need to shine the spotlight on this fabulous family. Today, these wonderful humans, popped into Bishops Manor in the most wonderful Christmas spirit, with a fresh delivery of outstanding homemade cupcakes for our team to enjoy. 📦 🧁 🎄✨

Carol and Liz lovingly baked the most dreamy lemon drizzle and chocolate orange cupcakes, with gluten free options too (Lisa put the boxes together and helped deliver them 😄) 🥳❤️✨

Each box came with a keyring attached that read “May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are and the difference you make” 🥺🥳✨

We are so lucky to have YOU 🫵🏼Carol, Liz and Lisa as part of our Bishops Manor community. Thank you for your kindness your thoughtfulness and for making our day brighter. 🥳❤️✨

🎄Step into Christmas as we welcome the wonderful children from St Nicolas Catholic School into Bishops Manor 🎄

The children delivered the most beautiful Christmas performance to our residents and they were nothing short of magnificent. 🎭 🎤 ✨

Every single song was so very well rehearsed, and performed with such enthusiasm and confidence. They sang all the Christmas classics that our residents know and love and even acted out parts of the songs which brought smiles, laughter and a few happy tears. 🥹 🎭 ✨

After the performance the children spent time with our residents making paper chains which sparked so many lovely conversations and moments of reminiscence. 🫶🏼❤️✨

These visits remind us just how important community connection is and how much magic happens when generations come together. 🥳✨

A wonderful festive morning that will stay with us all for a long time 🎄✨

This is Aimee and she was our November Gem award winner 🥇 💜 🚀 ✨

Aimee is a Senior on our Memory Care household and although she is not new to the care sector, Aimee joined us during a particularly difficult and sensitive period and handled a very challenging set of circumstances with such grace, calm and professionalism. 🫡 ✨

A family recently took the time to give exceptional feedback about Aimee praising her input, support and reassurance, during an incredibly emotional time. Her kindness, consistency and resilience made a huge difference to a difficult time, and this has not gone unnoticed. 🥳❤️✨

For this and so much more we want to give you a huge shout out Aimee. Thank you for the car, heart and strength you bring to our home every single day ❤️🥳✨

A little festive trip to Planters Garden Centre. Featuring our wonderful ladies, Rudolph, Father Christmas with our senior carer Maddie on his lap 🙊 a scenic polar bear display 🐻‍❄️ plenty of mischief and a tinsel dinosaur 😂 🥳 🦕 🎄✨

A delicious lunch followed by a spot of Christmas shopping at this beautiful local venue. We love supporting our local businesses and getting out and about 🥳❤️✨
