On Wednesdays we P.A.R.T.Y 💃 🕺 🪩

Today Francis Dwane brought the most vibes ✨

From doing the Charleston and lovingly embarrassing Team member Leanne with a full blown Happy Birthday rendition… (HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEANNE) to Tina Turner style 🎶 rolling, rolling on the river… 🎶 the energy was unreal 🌊 🎤 🕺 ✨

The Wednesday Club is open to our local, Sutton Coldfield community. Come and experience life at Bishops Manor first hand. Meet the team, have a dance and sing song with us, then enjoy a delicious coffee and a generous slab of cake.

It is never a dull moment here 🎤 ✨

🐌 ZooLab at Bishops Manor! 🦎👀

Yesterday, we welcomed Domanique from ZooLab for a hands on animal therapy session 🐌 🕷️🐍🦎

Residents met some fascinating creatures including Turbo, the Giant African Land Snail and Talulah the Tarantula, the staff were scaredy cats but the residents loved them and were all so very brave. 😅❤️✨

Thank you ZooLab and Domanique for another fantastic session.

The home was filled with laughter, family, friendship and fizz, with little touches of red and pink everywhere you looked 🌹 ❤️ ♥️ 💋 ✨

And we even caught two of the cutest little love bugs spreading the joy with their heart balloons ❤️🐞 ✨

🥳 HAPPY BIRTHDAY BM ✨🚀

Today at Bishop’s Manor, we celebrated our 9th birthday with a vibrant swinging 60’s and 70’s themed party, chosen by the residents 🌺 😎 💃 🕺 🪩

Francis Dwane brought the roof down with sixties classics; the dance floor was jam packed and from start to finish 💃 🕺

We are so incredibly lucky to have so many team members who have been with us since we opened our doors all those years ago. That level of loyalty care and consistency is rare and something we are very proud of ✨🚀

A beautiful and colourful way to celebrate 9 fabulous years of Bishop’s Manor, filled with music, dancing and the wonderful people who make this community a home and would you look at that outstanding cake, lovingly made by our head chef 🌺 🌈 💛 🏡 ❤️🫡

GEM AWARD 💎 Going the Extra Mile shout outs 💫

It’s that time again time to celebrate some brilliant people who have gone above and beyond and been recognised with our December and January GEM awards. 💎 🏆 ✨

Our December GEM winner is Jenny. A huge shout out to you Jenny. Just six months into your role and we were inundated with the most lovely comments from colleagues and family members alike. You are consistently kind, gentle and hardworking and it has not gone unnoticed. We salute you Jenny keep up the amazing work. 🫡 🏆 ✨

Although a little early for January, the winner was absolutely clear. Our January GEM goes to our front of house superstar, Celia. For a multitude of reasons and again with an overwhelming number of comments highlighting your dedication professionalism and your willingness to go way above and beyond your role. You are a true credit to the team Celia and we are so grateful for everything you do. 👀⭐️🚀

And finally how could we not give a special shout out to the beautiful and talented Becca G. Becca visits us monthly and brings such joy to our residents team and families. We love you Becca. Your vibrant energy warmth and talent light up the room every single time and create such special moments for everyone. 🎤 🎶 ✨🚀

Today we were proud to officially open our Multi Faith and Wellbeing Room at Bishop’s Manor. 🪴 🙏🏽 💚 ✨

This space has been created with intention and care to honour the many faiths, denominations, cultures and backgrounds that make up our community. It is a place for prayer reflection quiet time and connection but above all a place where everyone is welcome. 🤩

The room was opened by Reverend Danny Brierley and Imam Siraj ud Din, two highly respected leaders within our local community. Together, they helped us focus on what connects us as people; understanding, respect, and care for one another, regardless of faith or background. 🙏🏽✨🚀

In a world that can often feel divided, this room stands as a gentle reminder that there is strength in togetherness and that faith takes many forms. ❤️✨

This is a space for residents, families and team members also. A place to pause and reflect, a serene space to pray or simply to sit quietly. A space that supports wellbeing in all its forms emotional, spiritual and mental. 🤩

A little late to the party but a very heartfelt - HAPPY NEW YEAR from Bishops Manor 🏡 ❤️ ✨

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrating with our residents, their families and our incredible team. ❤️✨

Thank you to our dedicated team for everything they do and to our families for being such an important part of life at Bishops Manor; your trust, support and presence mean so much and a HUGE shout out to the kitchen team who went over and beyond to make it magical for everyone ✨🚀

We look forward to the year ahead with you all and we’re looking forward to making some fresh new memories 🥳✨

🎄 Merry Christmas Eve 🎄

We have been treated again here at Bishops Manor 🥳✨

The wonderful Jones family arrived bearing the most delicious baked goodies, all prepared and hand baked with so much love. Huge thank you to Gavin and his wife Kelly, sister Justine and their lovely mum Pauline. 🙏🏽 ✨

We were treated to the most incredible pumpkin pie, mince pies and cookies and wow they were absolutely amazing. 😻 🥳✨

Moments like this mean so much to our team. It is kindness generosity and thoughtfulness like this that makes our Bishops Manor community so special. 🏡 ✨

🎅🏽 The countdown is ON and we wanted to pause for a moment of gratitude. WHAT a year of magic we have had at Bishops Manor 🥳✨

Shoutouts 📣 ✨ We are incredibly grateful to our amazing team who show up day after day with care, professionalism and love. To our residents, who keep us smiling, grounded and on our toes. To our families, visitors and friends of the home, and to our wider community and professional partners who work alongside us and support us so consistently. You all play a part in what makes this place what it is. 🙏🏽 🥳✨

We would also like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to the families who kindly donated beautiful gifts for our staff raffle. Your generosity and thoughtfulness mean more than you know and have been so warmly and gratefully received by the team. 🎅🏽 🫶🏼✨

Our team works incredibly hard to make this home feel warm, safe and festive, while continuing to deliver the care our residents and families deserve; whilst Christmas is magical, it can also be emotive and a little overwhelming and for a myriad of reasons. ✨

We are always listening, and our doors are always open to everyone. We value open conversations and strong relationships, and we’re always striving to get things right. We know we won’t get everything perfect every time, but our intention is always to do our absolute best. 🎅🏽 🎄 ✨

At this time of year especially, how we speak, communicate, and engage with one another really does matter. Small moments of patience and understanding genuinely make a big difference, behind the scenes is a team showing up every day and giving it their all in a season that asks a lot of everyone 🙋🏼‍♀️❤️✨
