Today we celebrated our wonderful nurse Rosie with a very special baby shower here at Sutton Rose Care Home! 💕

Our residents and team came together to decorate, enjoy treats, share laughter, and shower Rosie with lots of love as she prepares to welcome her little one. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with smiles, kind wishes, and plenty of excitement for the new arrival! 👶🍼

Rosie is such a valued member of our Sutton Rose family and we couldn’t be happier for her. We wish her all the happiness as she begins this amazing new chapter.

Do You Remember the Time? New Podcast Episode!

A few weeks ago we welcomed children from Boldmere School to Sutton Rose to record a special episode of our podcast “Do You Remember the Time?” 🎙️

Residents shared their memories of school days gone by, with plenty of stories from Lynne and Bob, who both worked as teachers. It was a wonderful chance for different generations to chat, laugh and learn from each other.

And the podcast fun continues!
At the end of the month, our regular hosts Maureen, Doreen and Thelma will be joined by the Boldmere St Michael’s football team for another episode – we can’t wait to hear their stories too ⚽🎧 Boldmere St Michaels FC

☘️ A Wonderful Day at Our Sutton Rose Dementia Café! ☘️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today at Sutton Rose Care Home for our Dementia Café. It was lovely to see so many familiar and new faces enjoying our St Patrick’s themed party, with plenty of smiles, conversation and community spirit.

Our Dementia Café is a relaxed and friendly space for people living with dementia, their families, carers and members of the community to come together, enjoy refreshments and support one another.

💚 Just a reminder – our Dementia Café runs every first Friday of the month.

We’re delighted to invite our community to Sutton Rose Care Home in Boldmere for a lively St Patrick’s celebration on 20th March from 6pm – 8pm.

Expect a wonderful evening filled with music, delicious food, festive entertainment, and a fantastic parade atmosphere as we celebrate together.

Events like this are all about bringing people together, sharing laughter, and creating special memories with our residents and community.

Thanks again to our incredible residents, families, staff and local community who helped us collect over 500 toys for the children’s cancer wards at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Good Hope Hospital Children’s Ward!

This morning at Sutton Rose, breakfast came with a very special treat 🌞✨

Our wonderful housekeeper, Sue, once again brought smiles to everyone’s faces by performing for our residents during breakfast. Whether it’s singing a favourite classic or adding a little humour to the morning, Sue always goes the extra mile to make the start of the day extra special.

It’s moments like these that truly show what Sutton Rose is all about — not just care, but connection, joy and going above and beyond to brighten someone’s day. The dining room was filled with laughter, singing along and plenty of happy faces 💛

Last night our Community Elvis Event at Sutton Rose was nothing short of spectacular — with an amazing 80 people joining us to celebrate, sing, dance and relive the magic of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll!

From the very first note, the room was alive with energy. Residents, families, friends and members of our local community filled the home with laughter, music and pure joy. Seeing generations come together, arms linked, singing the classics at the top of their voices was something truly special.

Events like this remind us exactly why we love what we do. Sutton Rose isn’t just a care home — it’s a place where memories are made, friendships are formed, and the community comes together.
