Yogis, I’m excited to share with you that my teacher Jambo Yoga Bodyworker is coming to town this year for a weekend workshop:

🗓️26th and 27th September 2026
🧘🏼‍♂️ At OMNOM Birmingham: the city’s new centre for holistic wellbeing and enlightened eating 🍛

Jambo teaches internationally and is a body worker, Forrest Yoga Guardian, biomechanic specialist, acupuncturist, Reiki master and more…a deep and varied background which a list can’t do credit to.

🎵 He is also poet and singer who moves you with his voice and words, whilst creating an environment where you feel safe, seen and held. You’ll also likely enjoy full belly laughs during this weekend.

🌼 Your yoga prescription for March:

Winter contains the quality of Kapha, or earth energy, and this wintertime in the UK we have had not just earth but mud!: The ground swamp like and sopping wet, heavy and claggy.

It’s no surprise if you’ve been feeling dull and sluggish over the past couple of months! 🐌

As we enter March and see glimmers of blue sky and feel a little warmth (rather than dampness!) in the air, it’s time to shed your winter coat, to lighten and brighten up ✨

In class this month we’ll develop Agni (digestive fire) to warm the body, with cleansing & clearing breaths and core-connecting movements.

Standing poses and sequences will boost prana through the lower body, and stabilise strong roots so we can feel lighter and lifted above ground.

We’re retaining awareness on routine, habits and small steps that build confidence, move us towards our goals and keep us secure, healthy and well. Your consistent yoga practice is key to this 🔑

Yogafinity Retreat 2026!

🌊 Cornwall: 3rd to 7th September.

Mornings on your mat, days by the sea and evenings with friends...

We’ll be spending 4 nights and 3 full days retreating at a beautiful Cornish Manor House and gardens, set in secluded grounds near to some of the best beaches on the north coast of Cornwall.

🌸 🌽 Our retreat home is set in 22 acres with lawns, ornamental lake, paths through camellia woods, orchards, and a fine walled organic vegetable garden, as well as tennis court.

🏡 Accommodation is spacious and comfortable, furnished in relaxed country style.

🍓 We’ll have our own private chef for the duration of the retreat who will cook satisfying and inspiring food from locally sourced ingredients. (The menu is mouth watering!)

🧘 Join Sian from Yogafinity for refreshing morning yoga & breathwork, and soothing evening wind downs with guided meditations and deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep).

🚶‍♀️In the daytime, take invigorating coastal walks, visit the nearby towns of St Ives and Padstow, indulge in a massage, explore the acres of woodland surrounding our retreat home, or curl up in a corner with a book or a friend!

Show up willing to listen, be open and learn.

Really, to show up and be present is all yoga asks of you. The rest is a journey of discovery.

If you have showed up to class in January: the wettest greyest, darkest and sometimes bleakest month of the year, then you can show up any time! Take a moment to honour that.

It’s not too late to feel at home in your body! 🏡

My new 6-week course: The Confident Movement Method™ begins March 2026 at All Saints Centre in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield.

The method combines gentle, sustainable and effective yoga-based movement with breath work for lifelong strength, mobility & vitality.

It draws on my love of movement and embodiment which has been a source of joy and confidence to me my whole life (from dancing and competitive gymnastics in my childhood and teens, to yoga into my 40s, post childbirth!) plus my extensive experience teaching yoga both 121 and in groups to older adults, including those with hip replacements, arthritis and other scenarios best nurtured through tailored teaching.

I feel a deep calling to support people to move with more confidence and ease, particularly as they transfer into the later seasons of life 🍂 ❄️

Yoga teachers, well this one anyway…can be grumpy, stroppy, over-tired and emotional. We are not always beacons of zen-like calm.

But we happen to know this amazing thing that’s a release valve for the negative, heavy or unnecessary things we carry. When we turn to this, we temporarily let go of the 💩 that can weigh us down or muddy our thoughts.

A yoga practice pulls your head up so you wear your crown, remember who you are and the strength you have 👑

It shifts your perspective to bring you to the here and now and what really matters.

It can change your state drastically so you come out the other side (and off your mat) back to balance and good humour!

As teachers, we know the power a yoga practice can have, and it’s why we continue to share this practice with enthusiasm, intention and as a heartfelt gift to everyone who chooses to partake in it with us 💝
