Games afternoon started off all calm and civilised… you know, gentle board games, polite turns, cups of tea ☕️
Fast forward 20 minutes and—naturally—it descended into our favourite activity: absolute CHAOS 😂
Somewhere in the madness, we accidentally invented a brand new sport… introducing “Bedlam Balls with the Manager” 🎉
At peak performance we had:
⚽️ 3 balls
👩‍💼 1 very committed Manager
👥 2 team members
👼🏼 1 Nurse
👩‍⚕️ 1 slightly bewildered Student Nurse
🧓 6 highly competitive residents
No one really knew the rules… mainly because there weren’t any. Points may or may not have been awarded. The Manager may or may not have been the main target 👀
And for anyone needing proof… some of the photographic evidence includes a few iconic poses from the Funky Chicken song 🐔💃 which definitely explains a lot!
Safe to say… board games are officially cancelled next week. Bedlam Balls is now a weekly fixture 😆

Another lovely, fun-filled day at Marian House 🎉
We enjoyed a great game of skittles 🎳 followed by finishing off our fantastic Easter bonnets and decorations 🐣🌸
We were also joined by Evie, who is currently on work experience placement – it was great to have you with us 😊
You may have also seen Mawgen is back with us whilst she's on Easter break from University 😊👏🏼
Lots of laughs, creativity, and smiles all around – well done everyone! 💛

🐥 Easter preparations are in full swing at Marian House … and things are getting seriously egg-citing!
Our amazing bakers have been busy whipping up cakes that are so good, even the Easter Bunny is considering placing an order 🐰
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we’re also putting together some fantastic prizes for our Easter raffle.

Monday Funday at Marian House was not for the faint-hearted… it was full-on competitive chaos with bingo followed by darts 🎯
We saw some incredible skills—along with a few creative interpretations of where the board actually was 🎯 - walls, floors, team members body parts … all fair game apparently 🤣
Good job we risk assessed for the magnetic ones and don't have the dart point 😂

🔴🔴🔴 We had a fantastic time celebrating Red Nose Day at Marian House 🎉
As well as eating all the cakes we baked and decorated yesterday, we enjoyed making colourful bracelets, adding a creative touch to the day.
Red Nose Day is all about supporting Comic Relief and raising awareness for important causes. It’s a reminder that even small acts — like having fun, being creative, and coming together — can make a big difference in the lives of people facing poverty and hardship.
A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so special! 🔴🔴🔴

Freddie is one of our lovely lady's grandsons who is running the Brighton Marathon. This is to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society
The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia care and research charity, providing support, information, and services to people affected by all forms of dementia. They invest heavily in scientific research to improve diagnosis and find a cure, while campaigning to improve care and raise awareness.

This morning has been full of flour, flowers, and a fair bit of fun 🌸🍰
We kicked things off by whipping up some cake mixture, getting ready to decorate for Comic Relief— safe to say there was more mixing than mess this time !!
Out in the garden, Mr O took on the important role of “Head Gardener”, generously sharing his expert tips with Lynda 🌱
From baking bowls to blooming borders, it’s been a morning full of giggles and teamwork 👊🏼
