Avenue Health Osteopathy

We have practices at Worcester Park Station & Cheam (by Nonsuch Park). See our website for further information.

Our practitioners have years of experience treating people with muscle, joint and nerve pain, as well as sports injuries. Avenue Health offers Osteopathy to the local community. Our aim is to help you lead a full and pain-free life without the use of drugs or surgery. We have a team of friendly, highly skilled and experienced practitioners who believe your body should work as it was designed to. W

e will investigate the joints, muscles and ligaments in order to treat the primary cause of your condition and not just its symptoms. This way we will enable you to either be totally pain free or have a coping strategy if you have a long-term medical condition so it can be managed on daily basis. You may know Osteopaths and Chiropractors as ‘bone’ (and especially backs and neck) specialists, but we can treat a whole range of conditions including:

Achilles Tendonitis
Arthritic Conditions
Back Pain, Bunions
Disc Problems,
Frozen Shoulder
Joint & Ligament Sprains
Migraine & Headaches
Muscle Pain
Trapped Nerve Pain
Runners Knee,
Plantar Fasciitis
Pregnancy, Sciatica
Sports Injuries

Some of our Osteopaths will provide dry needling appointments. Call 020 8395 1177 or visit our website for further information - www.avenuehealth.co.uk.

💥 What triggers sciatica?

Sciatica is often not caused by one single event. It can build up over time or flare up suddenly.

Common triggers include:
✔️ Sitting for long periods
✔️ Poor posture
✔️ Lifting awkwardly or heavy loads
✔️ Sudden movements or twisting
✔️ Muscle tightness or imbalance
✔️ Disc irritation or pressure on the nerve

These can all lead to irritation of the sciatic nerve, causing pain that travels from the lower back into the leg.

You may also notice tingling, numbness or weakness.

At Avenue Health, we focus on:
✔️ Reducing nerve irritation
✔️ Improving movement in the lower back
✔️ Identifying the underlying cause
✔️ Helping prevent flare-ups

Our aim is not just to ease symptoms, but to help stop them returning. If your symptoms keep coming back or are affecting your daily life, it is worth getting it properly assessed.

Can We Help With Your Shoulder Pain?

If you’re struggling with shoulder pain or restricted movement, our experienced osteopaths at Avenue Health are here to help. We welcome patients across our local practices in Cheam and Worcester Park, Surrey.

Shoulder discomfort can come from many sources—sports injuries, impingement, Frozen Shoulder, Rotator Cuff irritation, trapped nerves, falls, DIY strains, or general muscle tightness. Our osteopaths look beyond the immediate symptoms and assess the underlying biomechanical issues that may be contributing to your discomfort. This whole-body approach aims to support mobility, reduce tension, and improve overall shoulder function.

Our osteopathic approach may include:
• Soft-tissue massage
• Trigger point inhibition
• The Niel-Asher Technique® for Frozen Shoulder
• Shockwave Therapy (for calcification, tendon and ligament irritation)
• Gentle joint articulation to encourage mobility
• G5 mechanical massage
• Dry Needling
• Techniques to ease tight or fatigued muscles, including rotator cuff, pectorals, and deltoids

Many patients notice an improvement in comfort and movement early in their treatment plan, with a short course often being sufficient to support longer-term improvement.

Osteopathy is recognised by the NHS as a supportive method for easing certain kinds of shoulder pain.
