Raising awareness of DA and what a healthy relationship looks like ๐๐
NEW DATES FOR OUR COMMUNITY DOMESTIC ABUSE TRAINING - BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW AND SUPPORT PEOPLE IN YOUR COMMUNITY EXPERIENCING DOMESTIC ABUSE.
We have now trained over 500 people to:
1) Break the silence by talking about domestic abuse: weโd love our ambassadors to talk about domestic
abuse to their communities, whether itโs over a coffee with a friend, at your work team meeting or posting
on social media- we want to get people talking!
2) Raise awareness-you can help your community (where you work, play, live, learn, worship, network) to
give a better response to people experiencing abuse by helping them understand the barriers facing people who experience abuse.
3) To have conversations about Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls- the more you talk about domestic abuse and present yourself as someone who can give a good response, survivors might open up to you. You can then signpost them to specialist support. You donโt need to provide ongoing support or advice.
Anyone can sign up to be a Domestic Abuse ambassador, male or female, from bar staff to hairdressers, reception staff to HR teams, dentists, pharmacists, retail staff and community groups - whatever your role, we need your support.
Training dates are:
Saturday 24th, 31st January & 7th February 2026, 10am until 1.30pm, or
Thursday 19th & 26th March 2026, 10am until 4.30pm, or
Wednesday 13th & 20th May, 10am until 4.30pm
Please note this is 2-day (or 3 mornings) training and you need to be able to attend both all the sessions.
