As I’m waiting for my car to be looked over, I’ve found a lovely spot to enjoy the changing nature around me 🍁🍂🥮
Today I’m in Tamworth Castle grounds and I love this time of year when the leaves are changing colour and it’s not too cold to sit outside for a while listening to all of the sounds around me

"As a parent, I found it so healing to see Evie happily engage in sound on her terms."

Jenna is mum to Daniel (6) and Evie (2). Evie is bilaterally profoundly deaf with unilateral Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (ANSD). She has bilateral cochlear implants and is a British Sign Language (BSL) user. In our latest blog, Jenna has shared the story of Evie’s heart-warming experience of Music Therapy with Forth Music Therapy's Angeliki Gkini.

📖 Some very interesting reading today!
As part of my continued professional development (CPD), reading about how music therapy is used in different settings and groups is always so informative!

I haven’t finished this yet, but I’m sure it won’t be long 👍

A throwback to one of our favourite images from last year's World Federation for Music Therapy photo competition 😍 Marina Raidt-Altunashvili of Georgia was awarded third place with this wonderful image of a young, joyful Music Therapy participant playing drums. What a beautiful moment!

Sometimes plans change 🤷‍♀️
This morning I set out to attend an experiential sensory discovery day training session near London but unfortunately due to train cancellations and delays I was unable to attend
Sometimes these things happen but when faced with a difficult decision, I made the choice to return home and spend time in the beautiful sunshine and look to do some further reading and research with my time
I will look to re-book the training as it was going to be such an informative day 🙂

Empowering wellness through music

“What you have to remember is that music is a much more subtle and complicated language than any spoken or written language, and if you can give children access to music, no matter what their difficulties in hearing, speech, mobility and understanding, you’re giving them a chance to celebrate their humanity, their spirituality, their energy, their creativity, their sense of fun."

Thinking of our patron Victoria Wood on her birthday 🎶

🎶 Music Heals the Mind — and Brings Us Together 🧠💚

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re celebrating how music can support mental well-being and bring our community closer. Whether it's singing together, sharing playlists, or just listening with a friend—music creates space for connection, reflection, and healing.

Let’s keep the conversation going and support one another through the power of music and community. 🎵💙
