A fantastic result today for the girls as we beat an Ammanford side who competed to the very end.
It was great display as we played some lovely attacking football through the middle and down the wings. We created plenty of chances and was good to see us converting these into goals. As well as we played going forward we still had to defend well to stop any threat from our opposition and thats credit to our defence and keeper.

The U11s were back in action today at Ysgol Penrhos with a bare seven players, taking on strong sides in Loughor, Talycopa and Evans & Williams. It was always going to be a tough test, but the girls showed massive character, teamwork and grit from start to finish. 💜⚽️

Galaxy 0 – 2 Loughor
A fast, end-to-end opener with both sides battling to break the deadlock. Galaxy worked tirelessly to press forward and create openings, coming close on several occasions with efforts just wide of the post. At the back, the girls were superb, strong blocks, committed defending and confident goalkeeping kept Loughor out for long spells. Eventually, the pressure told and Loughor found the net twice late on. A hard-fought match with some brilliant link-up play and commitment from every player.

Galaxy 0 – 4 Talycopa
Up next was a talented Talycopa team who struck early in the opening minute. Galaxy showed huge resilience, stayed composed and kept playing their football. For the next 15 minutes we were outstanding, passing confidently from the back, timing tackles perfectly and showing real organisation. Despite some heroic defending and good chances of our own, Talycopa's long-range shooting proved the difference as they added a few late goals. A brave effort in an entertaining battle.

Galaxy 0 - 4 Evans & Williams
The final fixture followed a similar pattern, determined defending, tireless running and brilliant team spirit throughout. With no subs and tired legs, the girls dug deep and kept going until the final whistle, supporting each other, staying positive and giving everything on the pitch. Another proud performance against tough opposition.

Three determined displays full of attitude, bravery and togetherness. With no subs and tough opposition, the girls should be incredibly proud, today was all about heart, teamwork and resilience, and they showed it in every game. 💜⚽️ Well done girls — brilliant effort all round!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK! 🏆💜⚽

Our U11s Player of the Week this week is Iris, and she really earned it! 👏👏

Iris was brilliant from the very start. She worked so hard all game and was involved everywhere on the pitch — always helping her teammates and giving her all.

Iris was fantastic defensively today. She made some great tackles, put in important blocks, and showed super bravery when challenging for the ball. She stayed calm, made smart passes, and always tried to get her team moving forward again.

She showed great determination, listened well, and played with a big smile, exactly what we love to see at Gower Galaxy! 💜🌟

Well done, Iris — keep working hard, keep enjoying your football, and keep being the fantastic player you are! 💪⚽

A fantastic display from our Galactico's today, some of the best football we've seen played by our team, all worked extremely hard and showed fantastic team work and scored some fantastic goals!!

3 wins and 1 draw left us unbeaten today and were very unlucky to not win the last game after dominating for large periods of the match

Today’s match for the U15/U16 Galaxy Girls was home at the Elba against Mumbles Rangers FC Women & Girls.

A great game of football from the girls who finished the 1st half 2-1 ahead.

A breakaway goal in the 2nd half which brought the game back to 2-2. The girls were unlucky not to get a 3rd goal and the match ended 2-2

Well done to Mumbles Rangers and best of luck for the rest of the season 👍

Our U7s travelled to Cwrt Herbert this morning for their first official U7s round-robin… and what a performance from the girls! For the very first time, we were able to field two teams thanks to our mixed-age group with the U8s — a huge step forward for Gower Galaxy and a brilliant reflection of how quickly the squad is growing.

We came away with two fantastic wins, one hard-fought draw, and a very narrow loss — but the story of the day was undoubtedly the goals galore! A total of 10 goals between them… from superb finishes to fantastic defending and some brilliant passing, the team delivered from start to finish.

A big warm welcome to Clara from the U6s, who made her debut today — and even grabbed her first goal! What a way to start!

Best part of all? The girls came off the pitch buzzing — huge smiles and absolutely loving every minute. A huge shout-out to all the players: Reeva, Rosie, Clara, Evelyn & Sofia. A fantastic team effort all round.

An action-packed morning for competitive Galaxy girls this morning with 20 goals scored over 3 matches 🤯

Unfortunately the U12 surface was holding water and unplayable, but we were able to witness a very exciting match between our U13 and Morriston Town Women Football Club, and a well fought draw for our U15s with Mumbles Rangers FC Women & Girls.

The pick of the bunch was an 8-0 victory for our U14s away at Ammanford AFC Juniors with Betsi Oliver going on to score a hat-trick ⚽⚽⚽

Well done to all the girls representing their respective teams today 👏🏻 💜

The U9s were at a sunny Cwrt Herbert for an 11am start.
Unfortunately we had late pull outs due to illness and only had 5 players for 3 x 15 mins matches.

Galaxy 4-1 Rhos

Summer⚽️⚽️⚽️Beca ⚽️
The girls started strongly with Beca and Summer playing each other through for lots of chances. Summer had an excellent hat trick with goals of the highest quality. Lacey made lots of saves and Izzy snuffing out the attacks with excellent tackling. Up steps Beca to put the icing on the cake for a 4-1 win.

Galaxy 2-2 Bryncoch

This time it was Beca’s turn to open the scoring with a strong shot. Bryncoch equalised quickly despite good defending by Amira and Izzy. With two minutes left, Bryncoch take a 2-1 lead. The character of the team was shown through a quick restart, and straight back on the attack, Beca with a missed chance, but up steps Summer with another goal to secure the draw.

After two tiring matches with no subs we enter the last game against Rockspur. One final big effort from Izzy who was great in defence today and Lacey who had her best game in goals. Summer again with a decisive goal after a great pass through by Beca. In the last seconds Amira found a good pass to who else, but Summer who scores with the last kick of the game for a 2-0 win.

Our u10s were at Morriston this morning in the sun for 3 games

In the first game we drew a tight game 1-1 with Pontarddulais with Mabli scoring our goal.

We then lost to Albies however the girls battled hard with Lizzie performing really well with some strong tackling and good runs forward.

The final game resulted in a narrow win against Loughor 1-0 with Olivia scoring our goal.

Mabli was voted player of the week scoring a goal and performing really well in all the games this week.

📢 A late Adjustment!

Our U7's are making their first appearance in the West Wales Women & Girls League at Cwrt Herbert tomorrow morning.

This marks the first time that Galaxy have 9 age groups representing the club on a Sunday morning!

A huge milestone for the club and best of luck to our U7's for their first representative matches! 💜⚽
