Another title chasing game this morning away to Banc Black in a must win game to keep the title race alive.

Galaxy started the game with eagerness with some really nice passages of play, we got the ball in key positions in the final third from down the wing and with some near misses.

The breakthrough came after 13 minutes with a nicely weighted pass from Isabelle to Evie who smashed the ball into the back of the net to take us 1 up, some great tracking by the defense and some key goalkeeping clearances were needed however a nicley taken shot seen us concead we continued to push with vision through the midfield but the half ended all square at 1-1.

Galaxy started the 2nd half as we left off we continued to press in the final third with long throws and fired in corners into dangerous areas which lead to great control and lay off by Sofia to set up Annabelle with a firm strike to take us 1-2 up. Some lovely play followed dribbling and finding space for each but couldn't add to the score line, another good play by the opposition seen them equalise on the break with a strike passed our keeper, some really good defending with amazing clearances and great goalkeeping with fantastic low saves followed to keep us in the game the girls heads didn't drop they were determined to push to final whistle and were rewarded for their tireless efforts another sweet strike by Evie and another Assist by Sofia to then set up Seren in quick succession to take us to 2-4.

We remanied disciplined at the back to see out the game.

The U9s were lucky to avoid the rain in a cold Cwrt Herbert at 11am.
Galaxy 3-1 Sandfields
Summer โšฝ๏ธโšฝ๏ธ Beca โšฝ๏ธ
A great start with Beca and Summer causing problems from the start. Seren was excellent in goals making lots of saves. Florence with her first start for Galaxy made some fantastic passes. Half time all change, Gracie with strong runs and Ava-Grace with some well timed tackles. Great timed goals for Summer and Beca with a clean shot.
Galaxy 0-0 Penllergaer
Lacey was outstanding in goals for this game against a determined Penllergaer side. Save after save and composed playing the ball out. Ava-Grace, Gracie and Florence played very well again. Daisy was the rock in defensive with strong tackles and a goal threat. Seren again showing she is developing her passing with every match.

Galaxy1-1 Rhos
What a game 8v8 on at the same time as it was so cold to keep the girls active. Our girls battled hard making tackles and trying to find passes. Rhos took the lead with an excellent goal from a very tight angle. So proud of our girls, Daisy with a shot saved, next Summer sent a shot just over the bar. Seren and Lacey swapping goalie duties to good effect. Gracie and Florence again with strong passes, Ava-Grace looking composed again. With seconds remaining, Beca scored with a net buster!

Galaxy 1-1 Ystrad
In the true spirit of football we lent a player to Ystrad to prevent anyone standing on the side. Gracie the first to volunteer to play for Ystrad followed by Florence and Ava-Grace. Strong performances by all the girls again but Daisy got her reward after another strong display with a long range shot. Ystrad never gave up and equalised just before the final whistle. What a great performance by all our girls across the 4 games.
๐Ÿ…Week 11 POTW- Gracie
Slotted straight into the team with strong tackles and passes. Two assists and strong shot, very deserving of our award this week!

Week 10 POTW โ€“ Lily
From the first whistle, Lily was on it. A fantastic performance, not just for her goal but for her running, passing, attacking play and defensive work too.

A brilliant all-round display โ€” well done, Lily ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ… Week 9 POTW โ€“ Daisy & Summer
This was a tough decision for us this week, so we couldnโ€™t separate the two. Daisy was outstanding in defence and attack with some great tackles and passing, while Summer impressed with her goals and excellent awareness on the ball.

Both worked incredibly hard today and fully deserve the recognition โ€” well done girls ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ… Week 8 POTW โ€“ Hattie
Hattie was outstanding today โ€” full of energy, confidence and drive. She worked tirelessly for the team and was a constant threat going forward. A very well-deserved Player of the Week ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ… Week 7 POTW โ€“ Lacey
A fully deserved Player of the Week for Lacey. Sheโ€™s our trusted goalkeeper, but her talents certainly donโ€™t stop there. She showed today how strong she is as an outfield player too, and on two occasions was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.

Brilliant attitude and performance โ€” well done, Lacey ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ… Week 6 POTW โ€“ Daisy
A fully deserved Player of the Week for Daisy. Her consistent effort in both defence and attack really stood out today. Playing up a year, she never once looked out of place and battled for every single ball.

๐Ÿ… Week 5 POTW โ€“ Seren
What can I say โ€” since joining us, Seren has been eager to learn and never afraid to put herself out there on the pitch. Today she really showed how far sheโ€™s come with a confident, well-rounded performance. A brilliant effort and fully deserved ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ… Week 4 POTW โ€“ Izzy
Izzyโ€™s defensive contributions today were second to none. She was outstanding throughout and capped off her performance with a well-deserved goal.

๐Ÿ…Week 3: Lily & Daisy
This week was impossible to call. Lily showed real composure in front of goal and took her chances beautifully, while Daisyโ€™s pressing, positioning, and work rate off the ball were top class. Both fully deserved it! ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ… Week 2 โ€” Summer
So composed in front of goal and worked tirelessly for the team โ€” fully deserved!

๐Ÿ… Week 1 โ€” Beca-Mai
Endless work rate, determination and bravery on the ball across this weekโ€™s fixtures.

Total goals in 2026- 70๐Ÿ”ฅ

โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ† Player of the Week! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’œโšฝ๏ธ

This weekโ€™s Player of the Week goes to Amy! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’œ

Amy was an absolute rock in defence this week, delivering a commanding and confident performance at the back. Her reading of the game was exceptional, consistently anticipating danger early and positioning herself perfectly to break up opposition attacks. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธโšฝ๏ธ

She showed real strength and bravery in the tackle, putting in some outstanding challenges and never shying away from doing the hard work for the team. Time and time again, Amy stepped in at crucial moments to stop attacks and relieve pressure. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’œ

What really stood out was her composure on the ball. Instead of just clearing her lines, Amy looked to turn defence into attack, confidently carrying the ball forward and picking out smart passes to get the team moving up the pitch. Her ability to stay calm under pressure and make the right decisions made a huge difference. ๐ŸŒŸโšฝ๏ธ

Amy played a massive role in keeping the scoreline tight in todayโ€™s games, showing determination, leadership, and a real team-first attitude throughout. A top-class defensive performance and fully deserved recognition! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’œ

A brilliant display of resilience, composure, and quality. Very well done Amy! ๐Ÿ’œโšฝ๏ธ

Our U10s were at Penyrheol this morning

We lost the first two games against two really good teams in Mumbles and Talycopa.

Finally we played Loughor. It was a great game, competitive to the final whistle and we narrowly won 4-3

Goals today came through Mabli x 3, Lizzie x 2 and Fern.

Lizzie was our POTW and was outstanding.

Today our U11s returned to Ysgol Glan Y Mรดr for another round of 9-a-side fixtures against familiar opponents, Cwm Wanderers and Mumbles, as they continue their preparations for next season. The girls once again showed fantastic progress, confidence, and teamwork across both games.

Galaxy 0 โ€“ 1 Mumbles

A real closely contested game saw Mumbles take an early lead, capitalising on a brief lapse in concentration in the opening moments. Despite the early setback, Galaxy responded brilliantly and grew into the game with confidence and composure.

From that point on, the girls controlled large spells of possession, moving the ball around well and showing great awareness to find space. Their passing was sharp, and they worked tirelessly to create opportunities, carving out several promising chances in front of goal.

Although the equaliser just wouldnโ€™t come, the attacking intent and build-up play were very encouraging. Defensively, the team remained strong and organised, dealing well with any pressure. Mya was once again reliable in goal, making some excellent saves.

A strong performance overall, with plenty of positives to take despite the narrow defeat.

Galaxy 2 โ€“ 2 Cwm Wanderers

Galaxy carried their momentum into the second game, starting much sharper and with real intent. This time, their positive approach was rewarded early on, with Sofia showing great strength to hold off her defender, turn brilliantly, and fire a composed finish into the net. The move was well supported by some excellent wing play from Emily.

Cwm responded well and managed to get themselves back into the game, but Galaxy continued to play with confidence and belief, stretching the pitch well and looking particularly dangerous down the wings through Abi and Emily.

Galaxy regained the lead to make it 2โ€“1 after a fantastic attacking move, with Abi driving forward down the left and delivering a superb cross into the box for Emily to finish calmly.

The girls worked tirelessly to protect their lead and looked in control for large parts, but Cwm managed to find a late equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game, in what was an exciting and hard-fought contest.

Once again, the whole team were outstanding. The girls are continuing to grow in confidence every week, adapting really well to the 9-a-side format. Their teamwork, communication, and willingness to play positive football is fantastic to see, and they are constantly looking to improve and support one another on the pitch.

There is a real sense of belief building within the squad, and performances like these show just how far theyโ€™ve come, and how much more potential they have to grow.

The U7s headed over to Pontardawe this morning with only a fab four available, so we knew there would be no chance for a rest. The girls were determined from the very start!

A fantastic first game saw the girls beat Penllergaer 5โ€“2, with some brilliant goals from Reeva and Ella. The middle two games against Albies and Ammanford didnโ€™t quite go our way, with 4โ€“0 losses against two very strong teams. Even so, the girls produced some lovely play in both matches and were unlucky not to score a couple in each.

The final match was a tough one and could have gone either way, but unfortunately Loughor came out on top 3โ€“2. Despite the rain coming down, the girls put in a fantastic performance, showing great determination, cracking defending, and some brilliant counter-attacking football.

Well done to all the girlsโ€ฆReeva, Clara, Ella & Gwen โ€” for a fantastic team performance ๐Ÿ‘

POTW ๐Ÿ†
This weekโ€™s Player of the Week goes to Reeva for her sheer never-give-up attitude. From defending to attacking, wherever the ball was, she was never far away! She topped off the morning with 5 fantastic goals โšฝ Her through balls and counter-attacking play were outstanding today.

Another brilliant morning from the girls โ€” weโ€™re progressing week after week! ๐Ÿ’œ

Thea takes Player of the Week for the u8s ๐Ÿ†โšฝ

Absolutely rock solid in defence as always ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ but this week there was another level to her performance. Game after game, her opponents simply couldnโ€™t find a way past her โ€” calm, composed, and completely in control at the back.

What really stood out was her decision-making. Every time the pressure was on, Thea chose exactly the right option โ€” whether that meant clearing her lines at the perfect moment or confidently playing through to start an attack.

And then thereโ€™s the quality on the ballโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‘
That assist for Rosieโ€™s goal? Pure class. Vision, ex*****on, and timing all rolled into one.
Easily one of the best weโ€™ve seen.

Youโ€™re improving every single week, Thea, and itโ€™s showing in every part of your game.
keep leading from the back โ€” you were outstanding today! โญ
