The u7s headed over to Pontardawe for a 9am start… and the weather? Wetter than an otter’s pocket! 🌧️☔

The girls came up against strong opposition this morning in Bont, Penllergaer, Sandfields and Ammanford. In very challenging conditions, they showed great determination and resilience, battling hard in every game. This team has made tremendous progress over the past couple of months, and it really showed in their performances today. They finished the morning with a win, a draw and 2 losses, but the scorelines don’t truly reflect how well they played.

Despite the hammering rain, our incredible team of 6 and 7 year-olds didn’t complain once! They were eager to get out on that pitch. We saw some lovely goals from Reeva and Ella, along with some brilliant supportive play and positioning from Clara and Evelyn. Gwen and Sofia worked tirelessly alongside Rosie to hold the defensive line, putting in some critical tackles exactly when we needed them most.

Player of the Week🏆 goes to Rosie Jones for her solid defensive performance at the back. Nothing is ever a problem for Rosie — she gets stuck in week on week. Today she was the rock in defence, supporting the entire team and giving everyone confidence to push forward. Well done Rosie, well deserved!

Wednesday's training focused on being ready from the off' to charge down opposition goal kicks and kick offs. By naming two players as the “Rockets” (because who doesn’t love being a rocket!), it was clear this morning that training is paying off. The girls weren’t caught off guard once and they were applying pressure right from the very start. Excellent work! ⚽

Well done girls. Despite the weather, you all came off that pitch smiling. Super proud of every single one of you 💜

A sunny 9am start for Galaxy U9s… (ahem… jokes, it absolutely poured down 😂).

The girls were playing up a year today and showed real fight throughout. Results didn’t quite go our way, but the effort and attitude were spot on💜

Galaxy 0 – 2 Albies U10s
Facing older opposition, the girls never once looked out of place. But unfortunately we couldn’t find the breakthrough. Nothing to fault in terms of effort the team worked tirelessly from start to finish.

Galaxy 0 – 3 Penllergaer
With changes to team numbers and limited time to prepare, the girls adapted really well. Again, in tough conditions the work rate and determination were there for all to see.

Galaxy 0 – 1 Talycopa
The girls really came into their own in this one and were so unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Daisy was outstanding again and fully deserves her Player of the Week award 👏

These girls have so much more to give, and days like this will only make them stronger. We’re not worried at all about stepping into U10s territory when the time comes – they’ll be more than ready 💜🖤

Player of the Week 💜

🏅 Week 6 POTW – Daisy

A fully deserved Player of the Week for Daisy. Her consistent effort in both defence and attack really stood out today. Playing up a year, she never once looked out of place and battled for every single ball.

🏅 Week 5 POTW – Seren
What can I say — since joining us, Seren has been eager to learn and never afraid to put herself out there on the pitch. Today she really showed how far she’s come with a confident, well-rounded performance. A brilliant effort and fully deserved 💜🖤

🏅 Week 4 POTW – Izzy
Izzy’s defensive contributions today were second to none. She was outstanding throughout and capped off her performance with a well-deserved goal.

🏅Week 3: Lily & Daisy
This week was impossible to call. Lily showed real composure in front of goal and took her chances beautifully, while Daisy’s pressing, positioning, and work rate off the ball were top class. Both fully deserved it! 💜

🏅 Week 2 — Summer
So composed in front of goal and worked tirelessly for the team — fully deserved!

🏅 Week 1 — Beca-Mai
Endless work rate, determination and bravery on the ball across last week’s fixtures.

Our u10s were once again at Penrhos this morning.

We played two very good teams in Mumbles and Ammanford unfortunately losing them both however we were competitive in the games.

There were some great performances but our POTW was Seren who had her best performances to date with some excellent tackling in midfield.

Galaxy 0-5 Penllegaer- tough game for us, Penllegaer played some wonderful football and scored some wonderful goals, we created a few chances but just couldn't take them, but battled until the end and can't fault anyone's effort.

Galaxy 0-1 Penlan- fantastic performance from our team, and on a different day the scoreline would've been very different but from some outstanding saves from the Penlan goal keeper, definitely the best football we played today and were super unlucky not to win this one.

Galaxy 0-6 Rockspur- again another tough game against a fantastic team, and some unbelievable strikes from Sienna at rockspur, the girls again battled so hard in this game and never gave up

Player of the week- Molly- great performance from Molly today both in goal and outfield, showed fantastic bravery saving a fierce shot from the rockspur forward which resulted in having to come off, but showed huge bravery returning to the pitch after Thea got injured during a great tackle. Well done Molly!!

well done our little galacticos, we're all super proud of you 💜

Today our U11s played at Penyrheol Leisure Centre against Talycopa A.F.C Girls , Rosehill FC and Rockspur Bluebells .

Galaxy 2 - 0 Talycopa

From the very first whistle, the girls were right up for the challenge and set the tone for the morning with a confident, composed performance. We moved the ball brilliantly, showing great awareness and teamwork, with players constantly finding space and supporting each other all over the pitch.

Defensively, the girls were strong, organised and worked tirelessly for one another, making it very difficult for Talycopa to create chances. When called upon, Mya produced a fantastic save to keep the scoreline tight and maintain our momentum.

A well-deserved 2–0 win and a clean sheet was the perfect reward for such a positive, disciplined and hardworking team performance.

Galaxy 5 - 0 Rosehill

The girls carried everything good from the first game straight into game two and raised the bar even further. We were well on top throughout, moving the ball quickly and confidently from defence into attack. Our defenders played some excellent through balls, allowing us to attack with purpose and pace.

The link-up play across the pitch was outstanding, with great awareness, unselfish play and excellent movement creating a number of fantastic team goals. The girls stayed focused, energetic and hungry, earning a 5–0 win and a second clean sheet, showing real consistency and growth from the opening match.

Galaxy 3 - 1 Rockspur

Onto the final game of the day, and the girls showed no signs of letting up. We took the game to Rockspur with strong, well-timed tackles, confident passing and great movement off the ball. The intensity stayed high, and the girls continued to play brave, positive football.

Rockspur applied a bit more pressure in this match, but the girls stayed calm, composed and resilient, working together to deal with everything thrown at them. Although we narrowly missed out on a third clean sheet after a looping ball went over Mya, the response was excellent, and we finished the game with a deserved 3–1 win

Great games throughout and by far the best we have played both individually and as a team. The progress, confidence and togetherness on show were fantastic to see.

A lovely sunny 11am start for Galaxy U9s, and honestly an outstanding effort throughout both games — the girls absolutely smashed it 💜

Galaxy 4–1 Penlan
The girls were on fire in the first game against Penlan and didn’t give the opposition any time or breathing space. Goals from Daisy (x2) and Lily (x2) settled the game, all of them brilliant finishes. Daisy was the engine of the team, working tirelessly in both defence and attack. Izzy was again top class in defence and even came close to getting herself on the scoresheet. Seren was unlucky not to score too, forcing a great save with a powerful shot on target. A fantastic result and performance from the team.

Galaxy 4–0 Loughor White
Once again, a brilliant team effort from start to finish. It wasn’t just the goals that impressed, but the passing, movement, and defending, which were second to none. Summer grabbed herself a hat-trick, with Lily adding another well-timed goal. Seren’s defending and awareness continue to improve week by week. Our little shot-stopper Lacey made some important saves to keep us honest at the back. The work ethic from the whole team was outstanding.

The girls are coming on brilliantly every week, and it’s amazing to see the difference a year has made from when we first started with them 💜

Player of the Week 💜

Gower Galaxy U7s 💜 were in action this morning at Cwrt Herbert, playing three very competitive matches against Penllegaer, Sandfields and Mumbles.

It was fantastic to see the hard work from training really paying off. Playing together week in, week out was clear for everyone to see, with the girls communicating brilliantly, passing well, getting into the right positions and, just as importantly, holding those positions. What really made it special was seeing the girls fist-pumping and encouraging each other after good defending and counter-attacking — a proper team spirit on display and brilliant to watch.

The girls came away with two fantastic wins against Penllegaer and Sandfields, putting in some awesome performances. There were some great goals from Reeva, Ella and Rosie, all backed up by excellent defending from Clara and Sofia. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite a clean sweep, as they narrowly lost to a very strong Mumbles side — but the girls gave them a real run for their money and showed great fight right to the end.

🏆 Player of the Week goes to Reeva, for her outstanding communication and sheer determination. Her running and tackling were relentless — wherever the ball was, Reeva seemed to be there — and she topped it all off with some fantastic goals.

A well-deserved refreshing slice of orange at the end went down exceptionally well! 🍊

Overall, the girls played brilliantly this morning and everyone should be incredibly proud of their attitude and performance. Most importantly, they all had a great time… exactly what it’s all about.
