Tonight we write our annual letters to ourselves. This is a practice we have done for the last 7 years and it really is a magical one β¨.
If you'd like to join us we'd recommend you start by doing something relaxing. A nice walk, a warm bath, whatever you like. Next, create a cosy, inviting space to honour the process π. For us it is soft lighting, pjs and blankets. Take a few slow breaths and put pen to paper βοΈ . The letter always begins 'Dear Me'. It always contains our hopes and dreams for the year ahead (e.g. family hopes, relationship hopes, work hopes, your individual hopes) β¨ .
The letters will be sealed and reopened around new year next year. Reading it feels like time travel, a letter from me to me containing all the things I wanted future me to read. It feels like a hug from myself. It feels like I have my own back. The subconscious thrives with direction yet every year I am always surprised by just how much has come true β¨π©΅.
