Our quote of the week 💡

“By the age of three, and after four, five, six, play will be necessary. These are games which nature herself suggests at that age. Children readily invent these for themselves…”

Not long to go! Web Therapy

10/01/2026 - 11/01/2026
9.00am - 5.00pm

Relationships are at the heart of being human. Unfortunately we too often work in isolation with our clients and our clients are left after our therapy sessions to process in isolation. Web therapy brings together the network around the child and forms a web of support for our clients to lean on whilst they find the path to healing. We will give you the tools and the confidence to interact with parents, teachers, social workers and other professionals who are committed to supporting the child at the centre and build this web of support.

We can only be with our clients for an hour a week. Learn to build support that can be part of the child's life for the rest of the time. A web is so much better than a single thread.

“The training this weekend was the most excellent training I have done. It is the first time I have felt that training has tackled the difficult arena of parent support”.

New Dates for 2026 for L6 Certificate Creative Therapeutic Life Story Work

Are you supporting children in care, adoption, or displacement?

Whether you're a Play Therapist, Child & Adolescent Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Social Work Assistant, Foster Carer, Children’s Home Support Worker, or a Support Worker for displaced or refugee children this training is designed for you.

Creative Therapeutic Life Story Work Training is a comprehensive, client-centred course to equip professionals with the tools to help children and young people in care, adopted, fostered, or displaced understand and own their life stories.

What You’ll Learn:
Build clear, concrete, and sequential life narratives
Understand the impact of care, adoption, and displacement
Ethically and creatively explore children's life history
Support identity, belonging, and emotional well-being
Use therapeutic creative media for safe self-expression

Why It Matters:
Children in care or who are displaced often face gaps, confusion, and unanswered questions about their past. Creative Therapeutic Life Story Work helps them make sense of their experiences, empowering them to build a stronger, more confident sense of self and healthier relationships.

Developed in collaboration with Adoptive Parents, Post-Adoption Support Workers, and Specialist Play Therapists.

Our book of the week!

Discover the journey every child experiences in care…
If you work with children, foster or adopt, or simply want to understand the heart of out-of-home care, A Child’s Journey Through Placement by Vera Fahlberg is a must-read.

This compassionate guide explores:
💡 How children form attachments and cope with separation
💡 The emotional impact of moves and transitions
💡 Practical strategies for carers and professionals to support children through change
💡 Real-life case examples that bring theory to life

Fahlberg’s book isn’t just about placements, it’s about seeing the world through the child’s eyes. Whether you’re a social worker, foster parent, or student, this book equips you to make a real difference. But also enables therapists and counsellors to understand a child's journey within the care system.

November Special Offer!

Once Upon an Archetype - CPD Training Day

Where psychology meets myth, and transformation begins.

Step into the realm of archetypes the timeless patterns of human energy that shape how we think, feel, and connect.

In our therapy sessions, clients discover through the story narrative how archetypal energy reveals hidden strengths, heals old stories, and ignites the power of authentic self-expression.

Each archetype holds a key to your creativity, your courage, your compassion.
When you understand their language, you unlock profound clarity, confidence, and purpose.

This is your invitation to meet the characters within you the Healer, the Warrior, the Lover, the Sage and let them guide your next chapter.

Transformative. Empowerment. Awaken the archetypes that live within.
