As 2025 comes to a close, we just want to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful patients for your continued support this year. Thank you to our loyal patients for keeping us busy, and a big welcome to all the new faces we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. After a very busy and brilliant year, we’ll be taking a few days off over Christmas to rest and recharge (see our page for our opening hours over the festive period).

We often get asked if we offer hearing aid services in practice, and whilst we currently don’t provide this service we can share where the last hearing aid repair clinics will be held before Christmas for any patients who require this service:

Did you know you can receive advice and treatment from independent prescribers at community pharmacies across Swansea Bay?

The service allows independent prescribers to give advice, make referrals and prescribe medication for a variety of ailments.

It can help to relieve pressures on GP practices, with the qualified pharmacists assessing appropriate patients without the need for an appointment.

Currently, the service is developing with 35 independent prescribers in Swansea Bay, so please contact your local pharmacy to ask if it is available.

Community pharmacists must complete an accredited course to qualify as an independent prescriber.

Appointments to see an independent prescriber aren’t essential but depending on availability, you may be asked to call back at a more appropriate time. Other community pharmacies may require an appointment.

The independent prescriber will carry out a consultation in a private room where they will discuss your symptoms.

They will then decide whether it’s best to offer self-care advice, make a referral to a GP or another healthcare professional or provide treatment.

Fallen in love with a frame but it doesn’t fit quite right on the bridge of your nose? We are able to add nose pads onto plastic frames to ensure great comfort and fit.
