Many thanks for all your kind messages regarding my Nan. Apologies to those who wanted to be seen today that we had to postpone until tomorrow as we had a funeral during storm Claudia 🌧️ Normal service will resume next week with the market on Saturday. Finally fond memories of pouring her a sherry before Sunday lunch - hopefully I won't 'be walking backwards' either

While we will still be open next Friday 14th, owing to a family bereavement I won't be available. Any emergencies please contact us as normal where the staff will offer advice or if it can wait a day I will see you on the Saturday. Born in January 1922, my Nan made it to a grand old age of 103. A huge thank you to all the staff at Bloomfield care home, the wonderful paramedics who attended to her when she took ill, the kindness of the team at the GP out of hours service, and the late night pharmacist in Boots. Forever thankful for perfectly grilled chicken breast, endless supply of shortbread biscuits, and laughing until you snort

While probably not as dramatic as this, a sudden onset of flashing lights needs further investigation as this can be symptomatic of a retinal detachment. If you experience any flashing lights, floaters, loss of vision, or any new symptoms, contact your optician where the necessary tests will be covered by the NHS 👍 Check out this link from Moorfields eye hospital for an explanation https://www.moorfields.nhs.uk/eye-conditions/retinal-detachment
