After lots of training and work experience using Cranes in Tree Work, my first day climbing and cutting from a crane today! Removed this damaged and dangerous conifer from the hotel gardens. Crane making light work of this monster. Best day in a good while!

Difference is night and day! Finished off working on this lapsed pollard today. Such a beautiful beast of a lime tree.

20 years of regrowth since original pollard so a lot of technical work. Important to be hyper vigilant, for example, of anchor points and rigging points, not to put excess strain on the weak unions.

Must be better at "after pics"! 1-2m crown reduction on mature sycamore. Thanks to the RDTS lads for hard work, especially technical and awkward climbing out on the extremities of branches, getting that perfect pruning point.
