Happy Easter to our friends and family, with love from all the Burrows crew,
We started the day with chocolate treats and hot cross buns to chew.
The morning was sweet, the table bright, with smiles the whole day through,
Then came a lovely lamb roast lunch, a feast we all looked forward to.

We hope your day’s been just as warm, with happiness in view,
Filled with laughter, love, and moments shared with those so dear to you.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums at Burrows Hall Nursing Home 🌸💐

Today we celebrated you with a delicious homemade Sunday dinner — beautifully cooked lamb followed by a classic Bakewell tart, lovingly prepared by our very own Sarah. She always takes such pride in creating homemade meals, and today’s was truly special and enjoyed by everyone.

A big thank you as well to our amazing staff who have spent their Mother’s Day here at the home, making sure our residents felt loved, celebrated, and cared for.

Wishing all our mums a day filled with warmth, smiles, and appreciation. You are all truly special. 💖

This cauliflower cheese deserves a post all of its own.

Creamy, rich and bubbling under that golden top — the kind of side dish that quietly steals the whole roast. Comfort food at its cosiest and definitely worth a second helping.

Today’s roast coming together just perfectly, with Sarah working her magic as always — tender roast beef, crispy Yorkshire puddings, creamy cauliflower cheese and all the trimmings.

A proper warm, cosy Sunday dinner made with love. Full plates, happy hearts and that unmistakable taste of home.

🥞✨ Pancake Day at Burrows Hall! ✨🥞

fantastic fun this morning as our residents enjoyed delicious homemade pancakes with all their favourite toppings! From lemon & sugar to chocolate and fruit, there were plenty of smiles (and seconds! 😋).

A sweet day full of laughter and good company 💛 Thank you Aga for our delicious homemade pancakes!

What a beautiful Valentine’s Day shared at Burrows Hall 💕

Our lovely husband and wife were able to sit together and enjoy a special Valentine’s meal, lovingly prepared by our amazing staff. It was such a joy to see them celebrating side by side on such a meaningful day.

Everyone enjoyed dining at our rose-filled tables, with heart-themed treats adding an extra touch of love to the occasion. The room was filled with smiles, warmth and togetherness. 🌹❤️

A huge thank you to Aga and Kayla for preparing such a wonderful meal, and to our fantastic nurse and care staff for all the love and care they give — not just on Valentine’s Day, but every single day.

Love truly was all around. 💖

We’re very happy to share that everyone is well, and all results have come back clear. Following advice from Health Protection, visiting is no longer restricted, and PPE is no longer required for visitors.

Thank you to our wonderful families, friends, and community for your patience, kindness, and support during this time. It truly means so much to us and to those we care for every day 💐

Good morning,

I am writing to inform you that we currently have cases of diarrhoea and vomiting (D&V) within the home.

At present, all residents are well. In line with infection prevention and control guidance, enhanced infection control measures have been implemented with immediate effect to minimise the risk of transmission.

To support these precautions, we respectfully request that visits are limited to those that are essential only during this period. This approach is being taken as a preventative measure to safeguard the health and wellbeing of residents, visitors, and staff.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates as appropriate. Your cooperation and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.

86 years young and still full of sparkle! We’re so happy to be celebrating you today at Burrows Hall, surrounded by smiles, laughter, and plenty of birthday cheer. You bring so much warmth and joy to those around you, and today is all about making you feel extra special.

From the laughs and good company to the sweet treats, it’s been a lovely celebration — with a huge thank you to our wonderful kitchen staff for the delicious baking that made the day even sweeter 🍰✨
