The Journey Back: A New Chapter for Emily .7 Beauty 🤍
To all my wonderful clients and followers,
Many of you have noticed my absence over the last year, and I wanted to share the personal story behind the silence.
In 2019, I started my little beauty room at my grandma’s house, and it was a dream come true. Business was successful, and I loved every minute of treating you all. But life threw some unexpected challenges my way.
While pregnant with my second daughter, I was in a car accident that triggered severe PTSD. I became very ill, struggling with my mental health and taking early maternity leave to recover. I was diagnosed with ADHD, which helped explain why the trauma and motherhood hit me so hard.
In January 2025, just as I was feeling better and ready to return to work, I was involved in my fourth car accident in five years—a hit-and-run while I was putting baby Etta into the car. Thankfully both my girls were unharmed but I was left with multiple injuries and a diagnosis of C-PTSD.
I didn't post during my recovery because I truly didn't know when I’d be "okay" again. The legal process finally concluded last week, (she plead guilty to all three charges at the last minute) and now, I am ready for a fresh start.
I’ve decided to come back better than ever, in a new space with a new name, incorporating the valuable healing lessons I’ve learned about mental health and busy brains into my practice.
✨Welcome to the new salon ✨
I am thrilled to announce that The Old Garage is ready for a new beginning!
We are opening in a beautifully renovated garage conversion at my in-laws' home. This isn’t just a new location; it’s a sanctuary designed to prioritize comfort, accessibility, and mental well-being.
The resilience I found during my recovery has inspired me to create a truly inclusive environment for every client—especially fellow mums, those with mental health considerations, or disabilities.
Our New, Accessible Location Features:
🅿️ Easy accessibility with off-road parking and double French doors.
🧘♀️ A focus on comfort and calm: warm couches, weighted blankets, and fidget toys.
Extra time for appointments.
🧠 Sensory-friendly options for those with mental health needs, disabilities, or Neurodivergence.
📺 Distraction available (a TV if you need it!) or you can even bring your small children along.
My goal is to offer you a treatment space that is safe, inclusive, and truly focused on your well-being.
I’m back, I'm stronger, and I can't wait to welcome you all back through the new doors.
Keep an eye out for booking announcements very soon!
With love and resilience,
Emily 🤍
