We're hiring!🎉

2 new openings have become available in our team at Young Swindon and Wiltshire!!

We are on the look out for a committed and dynamic sessional youth worker to join our growing team in Salisbury, Wiltshire! you will work alongside our Community Youth Work team to aid in the delivery of our community youth work around Salisbury.

We are also looking for a new Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial processing and operations of the charity and to work closely with staff, partners and suppliers to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and in line with our financial procedures.

Well it’s official, SMASH Youth Project is now Young Swindon and Wiltshire! 💙💙💙
A huge thank you to everyone who has worked with us over the last 25 years, helping young people to access support, amplify their voice and reach their potential.
With a new name, we look forward to new ideas, conversations, and opportunities, coming together to help young people in Swindon and Wiltshire thrive!
However, we also want you to know some things will never change – we are still the same brilliant team, delivering the same innovative projects, with the same core values:
- We are generously collaborative. We always want to work together and will do whatever we can to make that a reality.
- Caring is our expertise. Everything we do, we do because we care.
- We put you first. Whoever you are, we welcome you and encourage you to be your true self.
- We speak up when things aren’t right. We know what needs to change, because young people tell us. If they raise their voices, so do we.

For this new big change, we are going to share 12 special posts throughout this festive time of year for you to get to know what we do at Young Swindon and Wiltshire! 🎄🎄

🎉 SMASH Youth Sessions - open TOMORROW
We’re excited to announce that with the support of Highworth Town Council the SMASH Youth Project will continue hosting youth sessions in Highworth throughout the winter months!
📍 Location: The Community Room, Gilberts Lane
📅 Day: Every Monday
⏰ Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
👥 Ages: Year 6 to Year 11
Join us for snacks, games, and good vibes - a great place to hang out, make friends, and have fun in a welcoming space. SMASH Youth Project

An opening has become available in our team and with it a chance to be a small part of our organisational history - you could be our first ever hire as Young Swindon and Wiltshire!!

We are on the look out for a new Lead for Communities (Wiltshire) to join the team and lead on continuing and developing our quality youth work offer across . You'll blend a mixture of direct one to one work with leading our developing community youth work offer and our Care Leavers Project.

It's a really important and significant role for us so we'd be really grateful for any shares and if you'd like to chat to Andy or Ben about it please do get in touch.

1 week to go until we officially change our name from SMASH Youth Project to Young Swindon and Wiltshire! 💙💙💙
We are very excited about this next chapter, creating a name that better reflects the needs and ambitions of young people across Swindon and Wiltshire!
So, in 1 weeks’ time, our working name, logo, website URL, email addresses and social media will be changing.
But don’t worry, some things never change – we will still be the same brilliant team, delivering innovative projects, with the same core values (we’ll just be wearing a different badge!)
We’ll also give you plenty of reminders it’s us after the rename, using our original emails for several months, as well as the words “previously known as SMASH” across our social media channels!

In two weeks’ time, we are changing our name from SMASH Youth Project to Young Swindon and Wiltshire! 💙💙💙
