Care Home Myth Busters🩵
People often think that moving into a care home means giving things up - independence, connection, even joy.
❌ Myth: Care homes are lonely
✅Reality: Our homes are full of conversation, shared meals, activities, and meaningful relationships. For many residents, it’s actually less lonely than living alone.
❌Myth: Residents lose their independence
✅Reality: Independence looks different for everyone. We support residents to make their own choices - from daily routines to how they spend their time - with help only where it’s needed.
❌Myth: Care homes are quiet and clinical
✅Reality: You’ll find laughter, music, favourite TV shows, strong opinions, and plenty of personality.
Our care is about living well, feeling safe, and being respected as an individual - not giving up who you are.
Let's keep challenging the myths around care and ageing.
