Welcome back to the Cotswolds Rise weekly round-up!

We kicked off the week by engaging in various creative activities, such as paper crafts, baking, and gardening.

In the middle of the week, we ventured out for some spring clothing shopping and enjoyed some coffee and cake as a treat.

As the week ended, we warmed up our singing voices for karaoke and had a music session in our brand-new music room.

Yesterday, we had our first music session! Alison, one of our Activities Coordinators, kindly donated some musical instruments, in memory of her parents. And oh, we had so much fun!

Our residents had requested some more musical activities and so we were able to arrange this for them and this will now be a regular occurrence here in the home!

Please do come and join us at The Tawny Owl Swindon for another Community Coffee Morning. These will be running on the first Tuesday of the month, from 10:30am - 12:00pm.

This is a monthly event, free to all, so please do come along for a coffee, some cake and a chat with other local people.

It is always important to us here that we get out and about in our local community. Our residents LOVE it!

We popped out yesterday for some retail therapy followed by a lovely hot drink, too.

And, at last, we were out in the garden where there are signs of spring everywhere. The sunshine really makes a difference in everyone's well being.

We always chat with our residents and discuss what various entertainment or activities THEY want to have going on in their home. This is a vital part of promoting independence and offering them choices so that they can enjoy every day with us here.

We've had a wonderful day at the home!

This morning, we enjoyed our community coffee morning and indulged in some lovely cakes.
In the afternoon, we experienced joy and music with a performance by Angelo, who is a favourite among the residents.

Oh what fun we had this morning. Our residents enjoyed bringing back memories of flipping pancakes and then enjoyed some delicious, homemade pancakes as a morning snack.

We hope you have lots of fun this evening flipping your own pancakes and enjoying some tasty toppings, or just the classic lemon and sugar!
