A Special Visit to Support Staff Wellbeing at The Ridgeway Hospital
At The Ridgeway Hospital in Wroughton, we are always looking for thoughtful ways to support the wellbeing of our dedicated teams. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful therapy dogs from Pawamedics, part of the Dogs for Health charity - and the experience was truly uplifting for all involved.
Our Executive Director, Liz, is passionate about bringing this initiative to the hospital, recognising the importance of caring for those who care for our patients. Her vision was to create a moment of calm, comfort, and connection for staff, acknowledging the invaluable contribution they make every day.
Liz shared:
“Supporting the wellbeing of our staff is incredibly important to me. I wanted to offer something meaningful that would bring joy, reduce stress, and remind our teams how valued they are. Welcoming Pawamedics to The Ridgeway Hospital provided a truly uplifting experience. Knowing that our support also helps Dogs for Health deliver therapy dog services to vulnerable individuals in the community makes this initiative even more special. I would wholeheartedly encourage other organisations to support this wonderful charity.”
By partnering with Pawamedics, The Ridgeway Hospital not only supported our colleagues but also contributed to Dogs for Health’s Paws at the Door programme, which provides therapy dog visits to individuals in need.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Amy and Neil, and their four-legged companions Elsie, Nuka, Cooper and Shelby for brightening our day.
