Pics from Faringdon Friendship & Memories Cafe on Monday!
This is our cafe supported by Dementia Oxfordshire and run by volunteers from our office. This cafe is open to the community and is kindly sponsored Rotary Club of Faringdon & District 🥳🎈🎈🎈🍰
On Monday we celebrated 10 years of Dementia Oxfordshire who provided balloons and cake! They have supported so many families in this time!
We got festive early making wreaths and next time (Monday 24th November 2-4pm) we will be making painted Christmas ornaments! Share with any seniors you know who would appreciate a fun, friendly group whether living with dementia or not.

Care Coordinator, Kelly T never fails to brighten both her clients' day and coworkers’ day, bringing an attitude of ‘we will find a way’ to rally her team members when they need it the most.

For Kelly, clients are never just clients; just recently, she showed her passion by hand-delivering a heartfelt card and flowers to clients celebrating their 70th Wedding Anniversary.

Our next Friendship Café for Seniors at Roves Farm is happening tomorrow (11th November) and we’d love to see you there!

Join us for a relaxed morning filled with conversation, cake, and great company, with the chance to say hello to the animals in Pets Corner or take a tractor ride around the farm. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet others and enjoy the fresh air.

Remember, remember… As the weekend after Bonfire Night approaches, so does the excitement of fireworks displays! As beautiful as they are, it is important to prioritise safety as well as fun, especially for those who may prefer a quieter evening.

Some helpful tips our care professionals will utilise this weekend:
- For those excited about fireworks but sensitive to noise, sparklers are a brilliant option!
- Keep all pets indoors where possible.
- If going outside for viewing, bringing hand warmers or hot drinks can help keep everyone warm!
