With Planta Fasciitis like other inflammatory response in your body you get, I think it’s important to make sure you are able to provide the right nutrients to the area. Be sure you have plenty of B5, you can get this from your diet and include lots of include mushrooms, vegetables and lentils, avocados, milk, eggs, cabbage, (not for non meat eaters)! organ meats such as liver and kidneys, white and sweet potatoes, whole-grain cereals and yeast, also lists egg yolks, broccoli, fish, shellfish, chicken and yogurt. The best forms of B5 are in my view brewer's yeast, corn, cauliflower, kale, tomatoes, peas, soybeans, sunflower seeds, lobster and salmon. Or of course you could take a B supplement but don’t just put a supplement into your diet without the advice of a professional Nutritionist. Magnesium supplements in you diet are great, or try a topical magnesium oil directly to the affected area, this can really help with symptoms. Also include fish oils, and be well hydrated and exercise appropriately.

I know that treating with electro acupuncture can help this condition but it is only one part of the remedy. Correctly prescribed and followed exercises will help. The proper stretches for your own unique presentation of his painful condition and diet changes all contribute to a faster recovery. Rest is a part of the programme but not complete rest, insoles can help if your feet are flat or pronated or supinated. And of course it is important to rule out heel spurs before continuing on and on with treatments that are not working. Knee alignment, hip and back corrections that benefit posture can all be part of the picture, anti inflammatory drugs and foods help sometime…..so no one thing will help everybody. I would recommend visiting a practitioner that understands all of these aspects and get a full check over before running (excuse the pun) in to one type of treatment.
