Not everyone is a social butterfly let’s face it!
Some of us would rather be left alone and are completely happy in our own company.
This is why one to one time with our residents who choose to stay in their rooms is available everyday, (if they want it, they have a choice).
Our lovely Chris is one of our residents who prefers to have one to one time and is happy to just have a nice chat.
We got on to the subject of her past and her marriage. Her sons told me how stunning she looked but she didn’t have any photos to show me.
Chris said she would love to have some photos and so her sons organised the photos and we got a photo album as well.
Today was emotional for me watching Chris look at the photo’s of her past and telling me a story about each picture and hearing her laugh and tell me how much she loved her life.
She enjoyed putting together her photo album and gave me the biggest hug.
I can’t express how sometimes just a simple chat with someone could lead to a moment of complete happiness.
Sometimes it’s the small things that count.

Today is national cake day and what better way to spend it than baking a ginormous chocolate chip sponge to enjoy while still warm on a cold afternoon with a nice cup of tea or coffee.
Our residents were happy to make it but I’m sure eating it won the vote.

A lovely pamper day today for our residents. Georgia definitely made them feel welcome and comfortable. They were so happy with their new haircuts.

The cold definitely puts most of us off going out… but not our lovely Alan who was very happy to embrace the chill factor and go to our local for a drink and a nice walk.

A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today!
We're so excited to announce a few steps we're taking to reduce our carbon footprint and create a more eco-friendly community!
• Residents planting Blossom Trees - We're adding some beautiful blossom trees to our neighborhood, helping to absorb CO2, improve air quality, and create a more vibrant space for all to enjoy. C
* Bird Boxes - Our local wildlife deserves a safe, cozy home too! We'll be placing bird boxes around to encourage more birds to thrive in our area.
• Planting Bulbs - Spring is just around the corner, and we're planting bulbs to bring a burst of color and life to our green spaces, all while supporting local pollinators.
de Stag Beetle Habitat - We've also created a special habitat for stag beetles, helping to protect this vital part of our ecosystem. $%
Every little effort counts, and together we can make a big difference for the environment. Let's continue to work together to reduce our carbon footprints and make our community a more sustainable, beautiful place for generations to come.
