Mark Hillier and his daughter, together with experienced staff, is dedicated to carrying out a personalised service to meet the individual wishes of each family. Every detail is considered with care when planning the funeral for your loved one. Funeral arrangements may be discussed at either of our premises or we are always happy to visit your home. We believe each funeral is unique and should be a fitting tribute to the life of your loved one. We are able to arrange funerals for all different religions, non religious ceremonies, press announcements, printing, catering, floral tributes, recording and forwarding donations, prepayment funerals and any other personal concerns or requirements you may have. We are able to provide horse drawn hearses, motorcycle hearses or a lorry to carry the coffin if required.

The Conductor’s Bow.

A simple yet profound gesture, the ultimate sign of respect from us to your loved one.

To lead someone into their final celebration of life is one of the greatest honours we can be given, and the bow symbolises that privilege, humility, and gratitude.

It is a universal mark of respect, not defined by religion or background, but offered purely in recognition of a life lived.

Blue forever! 💙

This family’s loved one was a huge Chelsea fan, so it felt only right to honour that passion. Our conductor Neil sporting the team’s scarf, while our bearers paid tribute with Chelsea blue ties.

Seeing family and friends also dressed in Chelsea colours was a powerful and fitting sight, a farewell full of pride, unity, and love for the team that meant so much to him.

We just had to share this bespoke order of service design! ✏

When we first met with the family, they weren’t quite sure what they wanted the order of service to look like. So, we asked a thought-provoking question: what was Floria passionate about? That opened the door to a wonderful conversation about her love for sketching and her own published column.

It felt only right to honour that creativity by revisiting her original work, taking the characters from her sketches and bringing them to life within the order of service.

And how incredible does the Pinocchio look? Floria was very talented. The family shared how warmly this was received during the service, and how much they loved that friends and relatives were able to see another side of her and learn more about the person she was.

A meaningful tribute, full of personality and heart.

Last night we had a lovely meal out at Bravus. It was opportunity for Becky and Mark to say thank you to the team for their hard work with the opening of Lime Kiln House, whether it was painting, cleaning or gardening as well as everybody who manned the offices to ensure all our families were supported at this time.

We’re proud to have a strong partnership with Prospect Hospice, supporting their vital work to ensure families continue to receive the essential care they need. Whenever we have the opportunity to volunteer and help raise crucial funds for such an incredible charity, we’re always more than happy to step in and give our time.

This year’s efforts made a real difference:

🎄 1,593 Christmas trees collected
💛 £32,132.38 raised

These figures represent a fantastic increase on previous years, and every single donation matters. To put this into perspective, the funds raised could help fully staff Prospect Hospice’s in-patient unit for 12 days, or fund 100 twelve-hour shifts for registered nurses providing specialist end-of-life care, family support, and bereavement services across our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and made this possible.

When someone dies, those left behind are often left facing a number of decisions and questions, including “Which Funeral Director should we call?”

Planning your funeral in advance lifts that weight. It means your family can focus on remembering you and supporting one another, rather than worrying about arrangements or finances.

With a funeral plan in place, your family will have one less thing to think about and process.

It’s one of the kindest, most practical gifts you can leave them.

Due to the success of last year, we have already received several enquiries to see if we are offering the limousines this year. The answer is YES.

If anyone you know is attending a prom this year and would like to hire one of our limousines, we will be offering them for FREE.

Availability will be on a first come first served basis.

All we ask is that a donation is made to a local charity, so they see the benefit as well. Last year we raised £3245 for charity and this year it would be amazing to raise even more.
