Established in the 1920's we are proud that Hillier Funeral Service is one of the oldest family businesses in the area. Mark Hillier and his daughter, together with experienced staff, is dedicated to carrying out a personalised service to meet the individual wishes of each family. Every detail is considered with care when planning the funeral for your loved one. Funeral arrangements may be discussed at either of our premises or we are always happy to visit your home. We believe each funeral is unique and should be a fitting tribute to the life of your loved one. We are able to arrange funerals for all different religions, non religious ceremonies, press announcements, printing, catering, floral tributes, recording and forwarding donations, prepayment funerals and any other personal concerns or requirements you may have. We are able to provide horse drawn hearses, motorcycle hearses or a lorry to carry the coffin if required.

Last Night! What a fantastic night we had at our Christmas works party!

Our team and their partners were treated to a delicious three-course meal at the beautiful , followed by plenty of dancing and laughter well into the night.

It was wonderful to come together outside of work and celebrate as a team, especially after such a busy and rewarding year for everyone here at Hillier Funeral Service. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to have such a dedicated, supportive team. ❤️

For us, the tree is so much more than a festive decoration. It stands as a symbol of remembrance for the families we have supported, both past and present. We warmly invite you to visit any of our homes and place a star of remembrance on the tree in memory of your loved one.

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 28th November 2025 aged 77 years. Beloved husband of Anne (deceased) and much loved father of Jason and Paul. Also a loving father-in-law to Louise and 'Pop' to Finley and Lila.

Funeral service to be held at Kingsdown Crematorium on Monday 22nd December 2025 at 1:30pm. All are welcome to attend.

A huge thank you to everyone at Playsteps Day Nursery for their wonderful generosity in donating selection boxes to our Christmas appeal! 🎁✨

We now have over 120 selection boxes ready to be shared with children across the town and local charities.

Sadly passed away at the Prospect Hospice on 28th November 2025, aged 83 years. Beloved wife of Godfrey. Much-loved mother of Simon, Justin, Becky and Sarah, and cherished grandmother of Emily, Frank, Kian, Theo and Seth.

Funeral to be held at St Mary’s Church, Purton on Tuesday 16th December at 2pm, followed by burial in the cemetery.

After the service, all are warmly invited to join the family at Basset Down Golf Complex, Lower Salthrop, for refreshments and time together.

Paddy passed away peacefully at Great Western Hospital on 19th November 2025, aged 89 years. Dearly beloved Husband of Vera. Loving Father of Derrick (deceased) and Tanya, Father-in-law to Mark and their Daughter-in-law. Much-loved by his family in Ireland. Thank you so much to Julie for her generous donation of selection boxes! 🎁

It was lovely to see her today as she stopped by to support our Christmas appeal. We had the honour of helping Julie earlier this year when she sadly lost her dad, and it means so much that she felt moved to give back.

All donations will go to local charities supporting children this festive season, and every contribution truly makes a difference. 💛
