Wellbeing with Silva YogaSilva provides yoga classes led by Silva Cooper. YogaSilva is a yoga group led by me - Silva Cooper. My training is in Hatha Yoga.

Silva is a qualified yoga instructor and is running classes in Lechlade, South Cerney, Cerney Wick and via Zoom and Facebook Live online. Yoga classes are held in Lechlade, Glos, South Cerney, Cerney Wick and online via Zoom and Facebook Live. Following several years of repeated lower back pain it was recommended that I strengthen my core. I was given a one to one Yoga session as a birthday present and have been in love with the practice of Yoga ever since. The improvement in my back health has been incredible; I do not suffer with any back pain now and am stronger than ever before. My increased strength and flexibility has benefited other sports I participate in such as mountain biking, running and swimming. I wanted others to benefit from Yoga so decided to train as a teacher. I trained at the Sam Rao Yoga School and started teaching in 2015. http://www.samraoyoga.com/

I love the flow and movement of Yoga; the connection between body, mind and breath. I appreciate the sense of inner calm the practice brings. I want to understand why every posture and move will benefit my body and pass this knowledge on when I teach. Within each 75 or 90 minute class, I teach basic Hatha Yoga which moves from one pose to another and allows the student time to settle in each posture, enjoy the stretch and build strength. I also teach 60 minute Gentle Yoga classes for those who want to improve flexibility and strength in a gentle manner. I have attended classes in Hatha Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Yin Yoga. I am currently studying for my 300 hours Post Graduate Course with Waking Minds Yoga. https://wakingmindsyoga.co.uk/

Our Story

YogaSilva is a yoga group led by Silva Cooper. Yoga classes are held in Lechlade, Glos at the Pavilion or New Memorial Hall and in South Marston, Wilts at the Village Hall. Silva started her journey to Yoga following several years of repeated lower back pain. She tried Yoga to help and has been in love with it ever since. Silva found the improvement in her back health to be incredible; she does not suffer with any back pain now and is stronger than ever before. Her increased strength and flexibility has benefited other sports she participates in such as running, mountain biking and swimming. Silva wanted others to benefit from Yoga so decided to train as a teacher. She trained at the Sam Rao Yoga School and qualified in April 2016. “I love the flow and movement of Yoga; the connection between body, mind and breath. I want to understand why every posture and move will benefit my body and pass this knowledge on when I teach.” Within each class, Silva teaches Hatha Yoga which flows from one pose to another and allows the student time to settle in each posture, enjoy the stretch and build strength. Silva’s personal training is in Hatha, Hatha Flow and Iyengar Yoga.
