So I’ve just wrapped up our 6am and 7am sessions at Absolutely Fit.

Quick accountability from today’s morning sessions, we talked about cheat meals, and why we actually call them that at Absolutely Fit.

Every person on this transformation program has a personal goal, body shape, health, confidence.
And food determines how your body responds.

When you eat processed, manufactured food, whether you like it or not, you are cheating that goal.
That’s just biology.

But here’s the difference, we don’t diet, we build sustainability.

By planning cheat meals, you’re telling the brain you’re in control, not the food.
That reduces stress hormones, prevents binge behaviour, and actually improves long-term fat loss. I’ve proven that with more actual body transformation results than anybody in the south-west! Fact!

So yes, if you like chocolate or chips like me, you can still have them.
We just plan them, control them, and keep moving toward your goal.

That’s how you get results with real life, not against it.

A quick fact you might not know about me
I have a few science degrees, including a Master of Science in Clinical Obesity & Weight Management.

Quick one for you, I get told this all the time…
Manjit, I don’t have enough motivation.

Here’s the truth motivation is unreliable.

Your brain runs on dopamine.
Dopamine isn’t a reward chemical it’s a drive chemical.
It fires when you move toward a goal, not when you wait to feel inspired.

Mindset is about clarity.
What’s the actual end goal?
Health? Confidence? Energy? Longevity?

Once the brain sees a clear target,
discipline kicks in, because habits live in the basal ganglia, not emotions.

You don’t need more motivation.
You need:
➡️ a clear goal
➡️ small repeatable actions
➡️ discipline on autopilot

Motivation gets you started.
Discipline gets you results.

That’s the science.

Let me remind you of something important this Monday morning.

You might have had a rubbish weekend.

And now Monday feels heavy.

But here’s the science 👇
Your brain doesn’t respond to motivation, it responds to movement.

The moment you:
• move your body 🏃‍♂️
• eat better food 🥗
• breathe deeper 🧘‍♀️

You start changing your neurochemistry:
✅ dopamine for drive
✅ serotonin for mood
✅ endorphins for stress relief

You don’t need to feel motivated to start.
You start, and motivation follows.

What you feed your mind becomes your mindset.
What you feed your body becomes your energy.
What you do with your body becomes your confidence.

So even if the weekend didn’t go your way…
This week is a fresh data point, not a failure.

Small actions.
Done consistently.
Change everything.

Quick science drop for you.

A client asked me:
‘Why is it that after a cheat meal or processed food, I wake up at night absolutely drenched in sweat?’

Here’s what’s happening 👇

Highly processed foods are usually high in sugar, salt, and refined carbohydrates.
This causes a rapid spike in blood glucose, followed by a sharp insulin response.

When blood sugar then drops during the night, your body releases stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol to stabilise it, and one of the side effects is night sweats.

Add to that:
• Increased thermic effect of food
• Higher inflammation
• Sodium causing fluid shifts
• Your liver working overtime to process everything

Your body temperature rises… and you sweat.

So it’s not random, it’s a physiological stress response.

This is why food quality matters, not just calories.

Your body always gives you feedback you just have to listen 💡
