Ultra-processed foods (UPFs) now make up a large part of the modern diet — and research links high intake to increased risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and poorer gut health.
These aren’t just “convenient” foods. They’re industrial products designed for long shelf life and taste — not nourishment.
Take bread for example.
Real bread made from flour, water, yeast and salt will go stale and grow mould within days. If your loaf lasts two weeks and still looks fresh… it’s worth asking why.
Your body recognises real food.
Simple steps to reduce UPFs:
✔️ Cook at home more
✔️ Choose whole foods
✔️ Read ingredient labels (fewer is better)
✔️ Buy organic where possible
Your body can only work with the food you provide it!
