The counsellors at Willows work with adult clients living in Swindon and Wiltshire who are expereincing difficulties such as depression, complex bereavement, anxiety, trauma, suicidality, and abuse. Willows supports approx 65 - 70 adult clients with 1:1 counselling sessions each week. To ensure that counselling is affordable and accessible, Willows subsidises a significant number of these sessions, at a cost of approx £1650 EVERY week. With no statutory funding, we rely on fundraising activities like this to continue our work.

It can be feel difficult to know what to say to someone who has been bereaved. Sometimes we avoid mentioning the person they have lost because we don’t want to remind them of their grief. But the truth is, they haven’t forgotten that person and talking about them could help.

This week is Grief Awareness Week.
Grief can feel overwhelming at times. If someone you love has died, you may have felt a pressure to appear to be ‘back to normal’ before you felt ready. It is good to remember that there is no set timeline for grief. It is an individual journey for each of us. Willows are here to help if you would like to find out more about counselling and how we could support you on your journey of grief.

Appreciation Post

We recieved an unexpected act of kindness today. As well as offering their time, advice, and guidance, the wonderful team at E V O L V E L I T H O generously donated some specialist paper for our B2B services brochures to be printed on.
