Tina People Therapy

Tina People Therapy Hi, if you are interested in counselling or hypnotherapy please contact me. 😊 I am continually training and updating knowledge for my personal development.

Hello, my name is Tina and I run a small and flexible practice offering hypnotherapy and counselling. I offer hypnotherapy for a variety of different issues from fears and phobias such as flying, dentists and emetophobia, controlling anxiety, confidence issues, breaking habits and of course for smoking cessation. The counselling service I offer is an integrative form of counselling, bringing together different elements of specific therapies, with the view that there is no single approach to treat clients. I have an AIM Award Level 3 Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (QCF)- Cert Hyp CS Qualified and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Ad Dip PC). I am a registered member of the National Hypnotherapy Society (MHS) and National Counselling Society (NCS). I am keen to support people in making positive changes within their lives and help people understand the power and ability that everyone has and is capable of to change things about themselves for the better. To explore how hypnotherapy or counselling could benefit, contact me for advice or to arrange a consultation.

At the end of the day, the conversation is between you and you.

Here’s a question: Have you ever been ingrained in the habit of reacting to others, compromising your values, and even your priorities just to belong… and are you increasingly charting your own course?

Have you noticed that when we realign with our true nature, regrets no longer play center stage?

Be true to you, and over time, traumatic relationships will recede, as more meaningful ones take center stage. Trust the process. You are always planting the seeds of positive change.

Drop some 🌱🌱🌱 if you resonate.

Are our partners responsible for themselves? Do we have any responsibility to them? The debate that goes round and round. Here’s my take:
We are responsible for ourselves. And, when we enter into partnership there’s an unspoken (sometimes spoken) agreement that presents. I’m not responsible FOR you, but I will lend myself to you when I can. I’ll reflect to you what I see. I’ll offer reminders to you. I’ll encourage you. I’ll stand by you as you walk through hard things. And so forth.

Maybe one of the most important offering is that of the lended nervous system. We don’t just co-regulate with children, we can also help adults co-regulate. Breathing together or hugging are great examples of that. But what happens when the trusted individual’s nervous system isn’t available to us for co-regulation? We must navigate on our own.

When we’re dysregulated it means adult Self isn’t in the driver seat. A younger version of us has taken the wheel. Our goal is to compassionately and lovingly acknowledge and honor the parts showing up while bringing adult Self back into the picture to help regulate. To co-regulate with our younger parts, essentially. There are many ways to do this, but some favorites are going for a walk, connecting with your own breath, tapping, and co-regulating with nature (get into the grass, sunshine on your face ((is there anything better than being hugged by the sun?!)), listen to the birds or the trees swaying in the wind.

What ways do you regulate with yourself? In what ways do you look to a partner (or another) to help you regulated? In what ways do you allow yourself to receive that/reject it? In what was do you offer yourself to the ones you love? Space for inquiry.
