Providing person-centered support to people living with dementia, learning disabilities, or disabilities throughout Salford and the wider area. Aspire provides care and support for adults, in Salford and beyond, who are living with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or dementia. Tiny Tim at Contact Theatre.

Last week, a group from Brierley attended Tiny Tim at the Contact Theatre in Manchester. The show was produced and performed by members of the Uncurbed Collective and proudly starred our amazing Philip from Brierley.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Pippa, Team Leader, shared some feedback from those who attended:

💬 “I was mesmerised by the production.”
💬 “The people put on a good show and the story was great.”

Philip, who starred in the production, said “I have been part of Uncurbed Collective for over 14 years. At first I feel very nervous, but then I become confident. I love working hard to put on a good show. I really enjoy being part of Uncurbed Collective and all of the shows have sold out!”

Tomorrow is Brierley Christmas Fair ✨

Join us on Saturday 13th December, from 11am to 2pm at Brierley Community Hub and Café for a magical, family friendly Christmas day out.

You can meet Santa and his elves, browse Christmas stalls, enjoy festive games and music, and treat yourself to sweet treats from our café. There will also be a raffle and tombola, along with plenty of festive surprises.

Autism Friendly Gift Guide.

Choosing a Christmas present for an autistic person or someone with complex needs doesn’t need to be difficult. There are lots of autism-friendly gifts out there, but our top tip would be to speak to the person you are buying for, or their carer, to find out what they like or dislike and to get some suggestions.

You may find that your friend or loved one chooses something specific that they would like, which can help to reduce any stress or anxiety when opening gifts and make things more organised for you too.

Aspire 2 Age Better Christmas Party.🎄💫

Chris Sewards, our Dementia Lead, dressed up as Father Christmas and gave out gifts to all our guests.

Everyone enjoyed a festive lunch, dancing and singing with DJ Ged, and some lovely cake boxes made by our catering team at the Humphrey Booth Resource Centre.

It was a really festive day with a lovely atmosphere, as always.

Join us on Thursday 11th December from 11am to 11.45am at Waterside Specialist Support for a festive morning.

Come along to enjoy delicious treats, look around our facilities, and meet our team.
