Today’s the day for Chiropractor Louise, who is attempting the London Shine Walk for Cancer research.
Some of you will be aware, Louise is currently having chemo for the second time.

Good Luck to the team!
‘I first did the shine walk in 2018 at the end of my first go on the chemo train. Here I am again, 5 years later after it decided to have another stab at me! So, it seemed fitting to give this another go.
Cancer research is a great cause and I for one would not be here if it wasn’t for their work. The survival rate for breast cancer has more than doubled in the last few decades. Treatments are much more tolerable and quality of life through treatment is better.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones, despite having one of the worst types with a high reoccurrence rate I am still here, doing my best to smash it’s face in and still benefiting from their work.
It’s unlikely I will be able to complete the whole walk this time; the chemo I’m having has the sh*tty side effect of causing the skin on my hands and feet to peel off and blister, making it hard to walk for a couple of weeks each round. Those of you who know me will know how much of a bitch that is for me. Walking is my thing!
That is why so have enlisted the help of my amazing Team; Shelley, Jen, Natalie, Laura and Sarah to do it with/for me!
Depending on how my feet are I hope to complete most, if not all of the 13 miles (even if the team have to wheel me!)
I know money is tight for everyone right now but I’d you could spare a couple of quid, we would be very grateful.
It’s scary that statistically half of us will get cancer in our lifetime. All money raised will go toward vital research to keep us cancer patients here for longer.
Much love x
Louise and the team xx
