This Saturday one of the lovely ladies I care for will be celebrating an incredible 102nd birthday! 🎉🎂

Spending time with her is always such a joy. Her memory is absolutely amazing — honestly better than mine… and I’m only 33! 😅 She always tells me that age is only a number, and she really is living proof of that.

When you really think about it, 102 years means a lifetime of memories. She has lived through so much history, seen the world change in so many ways, and carries so many wonderful stories from a lifetime of experiences.

It’s a real privilege to spend time with her, listen to those stories, and care for someone who has lived such a full and remarkable life. She truly is an inspiration.

I just want to wish her a very happy birthday and celebrate what an incredible milestone this truly is. 💐🎉

🌼 Welcome, March – The First Day of Spring! 🌼

Today marks the 1st of March and the beginning of spring – a season of new beginnings, brighter mornings, and fresh hope.

As a private carer for the elderly, I know how much the lighter days and a little sunshine can lift spirits. Spring is a beautiful reminder that every day brings something new to look forward to.

Feeling very grateful today 🥰

How lucky were we today that the sunshine stayed out for us ☀️

Days like this really lift the mood, especially for our elderly loved ones. A little bit of fresh air, a warm cup of tea in the garden, or simply sitting by a bright window can make such a difference.

I truly believe care isn’t just about helping with the practical things — it’s about bringing a little bit of sunshine into someone’s day, even when the weather isn’t cooperating.

Caring for a partner, relative or close friend with dementia is demanding and can be stressful.
It's important to remember that your needs as a carer are as important as the person you're caring for.
Sometimes you need a break, and this is where i can help.

There is no better feeling than knowing your loved one is being well looked after with someone you can trust and rely on while you get some well needed time out.
