When you’re invited, please book an appointment at your earliest convenience. It’s important even if you’ve had the HPV vaccine. Cervical screening helps detect changes early, before they can develop into cancer.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, and the HPV vaccine helps protect young people from the virus that causes most cervical cancers.

If you’re a parent or carer, please look out for the HPV vaccine permission form and return it to the school.

The HPV vaccine protects against more than cervical cancer - it safeguards all young adults, women and men, from ge***al warts and some cancers of the ge***al areas and a**s, as well as some mouth and throat (head and neck) cancers. ♂️♀️

Cervical screening saves lives! 🌟 Even if you've had the HPV vaccine, it's crucial to keep up with your smear tests. The vaccine protects against most high-risk HPV types but not all. Regular screening can detect early changes and high-risk HPV that the vaccine can't prevent. 💪
