🎉 Happy 87th Birthday to Peter! 🎉

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating Peter’s 87th birthday. He had a curry for lunch, plenty of cake, and lots of smiles all round. It was lovely to see everyone come together to make his day special.

🎃 Halloween at Standon House

We’ve had a brilliant week celebrating Halloween together. Residents enjoyed pumpkin carving, a lovely visit from the children at Anker Bridge Nursery, and a Halloween party filled with laughter, music, and plenty of sweet treats.

Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make it such an enjoyable week for our residents. 🧡

🎉 Double Birthday Celebrations at Standon House! 🎂

We’ve had not one but two birthdays to celebrate this week — June’s 93rd and Ray’s 84th! 🥳

Family, friends, residents, and staff all came together to make their days extra special, with plenty of smiles, singing, and of course… cake! 🍰💐

A lovely week filled with laughter and love — happy birthday to June and Ray! ❤️

💍 A Diamond Celebration at Standon House 💍

Yesterday we had the absolute honour of hosting a special afternoon for Ray and Di’s 60th wedding anniversary. Joined by their family, it was a beautiful celebration of love, loyalty, and a lifetime of memories together.

Congratulations to Ray and Di on reaching such an incredible milestone - 60 years together. From all of us at Standon House, it was a privilege to celebrate this day with you both.

🐍 Animal Man Returns to Standon House! 🦨🐻

Another fantastic visit from Animal Man, and once again it was a huge hit with residents, staff, and visitors alike! Everyone had the chance to see - and even hold - some interesting and exotic animals, including snakes, skunks, creepy crawlies, and of course, the much-loved honey bear who made a return visit 🐾

It was a brilliant afternoon full of smiles, curiosity, and a few brave moments! Thank you to The Animal Man for bringing such a unique experience to Standon House once again.

🎶 Music & Afternoon Tea at Standon House 🍰

Last Friday, our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea, complete with scones, cakes, and plenty of laughter. ☕🍰

Then this week, we were treated to a fantastic live performance by Paulo Pinto, who filled the home with music and smiles. 🎤✨

🎼 Piano Performance at Standon House 🎹

We were delighted to welcome Shaw Piano to Standon House today. Residents really enjoyed the live music, and it was a lovely afternoon together.

A special highlight was when our resident Iris also sat down at the piano and played a couple of songs - a wonderful surprise that made the day even more memorable. 💜

🎉 We did it! £600 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support! 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, joined us for a cuppa, and helped make our Macmillan Coffee Morning such a success. Together, we’ve raised an amazing £600 for this fantastic cause! ☕💚

Macmillan Coffee Morning 💚☕🍰

What a fantastic day we’ve had at Standon House for our Macmillan Coffee Morning. Residents, staff, relatives and friends all came together to enjoy plenty of tea, cake and laughter - all while supporting such an important cause.

We’re delighted to say we’ve already raised a good amount, with the final total to be confirmed next week. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, baked, donated or supported in any way. 💚

There’s still time to make a difference - if you weren’t able to be here, you can still donate or share our fundraising efforts to help us give Macmillan one final push. Every little really does help. 💚☕🍰

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Tomorrow at 11am ☕💚

Tomorrow we’ll be hosting our Macmillan Coffee Morning here at Standon House.

Cancer is something that has touched the lives of many of our residents - past and present - as well as families, friends, and loved ones throughout our community. Macmillan do incredible work supporting those affected, and this event is our chance to give something back.

We’d love for you to join us for a slice of cake, a cup of tea, and some good company - knowing that together, we’re raising money that will make a difference. 💚

If you can’t join us in person, you can still support by donating, dropping off a cake, or sharing this post to spread the word. Every little helps. 💚☕🍰
