It’s close to midnight... 👀 and something Thriller-ific is happening at Hogarths Tamworth (19 Lower Gungate, Tamworth B79 7AT)!

🕕 Doors open: 6pm
🧠 Halloween Quiz: 7pm – 8.30pm
🕺 Then the incredible David Boakes (MJ Tribute) brings the Thriller to life from 8.30pm!

There’ll be a raffle, plenty of spooky fun, and all funds raised go towards helping people in our community out of crisis and into thriving lives. ❤️

💬 A Story of Hope and Support – How Community Together CIC Made a Difference

At Community Together CIC, we believe that no one should face their challenges alone. Recently, our Social Prescribing Team worked alongside partners to support a local Army Veteran who was struggling with his mental health and alcohol use after a difficult period in his life.

When he first came to us, he was living in shared accommodation, had no close support network, and was feeling hopeless about the future. Our Senior Social Prescriber, Sue, acted quickly — making urgent referrals to the Mental Health Access Team, SAFA (Armed Forces Support), and Betterway Addiction Support, while also arranging immediate help with food and essential items.

Within days, coordinated support was in place. He received specialist mental health care, addiction support, and practical help to move into safe, independent accommodation. With ongoing encouragement and connection through our Helping Hand Café and community activities, he is now engaging positively with local groups, attending support sessions, and has reduced his alcohol intake significantly.

💛 Today, he’s rebuilding his confidence, managing his wellbeing, and rediscovering community — proving that with the right help at the right time, change is possible.

This story shows what happens when organisations, volunteers, and partners come together with compassion and purpose. Every connection we make helps someone find stability, hope, and belonging.
