School readiness, is you child starting reception or school nursery in September? Starting a new setting can be scary and you and your child may be apprehensive , do you need help
and advice with toilet training, attachment issues or behaviour? I have worked in Primary school, and nursery’s and now give advice and support to reception and nursery staff on how to help children settle. Weaning.
Is your baby coming up to 6 months or 26 weeks and going to be ready for weaning soon. It is a confusing time with lots of conflicting advice. As a Nursery Nurse working in the community with lots of families I can offer advice and support on your weaning journey from the very first foods.

Sleep associations.
These are the things babies need to settle for sleep.
Sleep associations can be dummies, music, mobiles, white noise, night-lights, rocking, cuddling, feeding and so on.
Some babies need a sleep association to settle them to sleep when they first go to bed, where others also need it after waking during the night. For example, they like to be rocked to sleep at the start of the night and rocked back to sleep in the middle of the night. They may find it confusing if they wake and everything is not the same as when they fell asleep.
If you and your baby are in one of these situations and you’d like to change it, please contact me and we can support with making changes so everyone can get a good nights sleep.

Having worked with children for 18 years in nurseries and in the community I felt that I could use that knowledge to offer support and advice to families in their own homes.

I am based in Tamworth but can travel out of area and I also offer video and telephone support.
