It’s easy to blame ourselves for bad posture, but often our environment is the real culprit. Relying on willpower to sit up straight in a poorly-designed chair is an exhausting battle.

Instead, make small changes to your surroundings. Adjust your screen to eye level or place a cushion behind your lower back to make good posture the easy choice.

By reducing the "friction" for healthy habits (like leaving a foam roller out) and using simple visual cues, you can design your space to be a supportive partner, making a healthier spine the natural default.
