We have had several IT changes made recently which have been extremely challenging for the whole practice and have slowed down prescription and results processing. As a result of this we need patients to order their prescriptions at least 3 days in advance and we will, under no circumstances, process prescriptions the same day. There is no risk to patient safety or confidentiality but please bear with us for the next few weeks while we deal with this very difficult situation.

We have been notified by one of our patients that they received a call saying they were from the doctors surgery and wanted to update their records. We are not phoning patients to do this at the moment. However, if you have recently moved, changed your name or phone number please let us know.

Support Diana’s Medical Expedition to Tanzania!

Hi, my name is Diana, and I work in Reception at the Tarbert surgery. I’m excited to share that I’m fundraising for my upcoming Vine Trust Medical Expedition to Lake Victoria, Tanzania.

This incredible opportunity allows volunteers like me to work alongside local clinical teams aboard the Jubilee Hope, a fully equipped medical vessel. Together, we’ll deliver free, life-changing healthcare to communities living in severe poverty on the islands and shores of Lake Victoria.

The expedition is part of the Jubilee Hope Medical Programme, chaired by Dr. Claire Russell, who many of you will know as a Locum GP at our surgery. Through this programme, we provide essential clinical testing, treatment, and health education to people who would otherwise have little or no access to basic healthcare.
