I have often thought "What the heck does letting go actually mean and how do we do it?" Then I found this piece of writing which I have found helpful. I read it out as our introduction for classes this week. People have loved it and some asked for copies. Thought I'd share here too.

I'd like to add that sometimes we can't let go of stuff, because it's just not the right time... in these instances, just letting go with our exhales might be all we can manage...🙏🙏

To let go isn’t to forget, not think about, or ignore.
It doesn’t leave feelings of anger, jealousy, or regret.
Letting go isn’t winning, and it isn’t losing.
It’s not about pride, and it’s not about how you appear, it’s not obsessing or dwelling on the past.
Letting go isn’t blocking memories or thinking sad thoughts, and it doesn’t leave emptiness, hurt, or sadness.
It’s not giving in or giving up. Letting go isn’t about loss, and it’s not defeat.
To let go is to cherish memories, to overcome and move on.
It’s having an open mind and confidence in the future.
Letting go is accepting. It’s learning, experiencing and growing.
To let go is to be thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, made you cry, and made you grow. It’s about all that you have, all that you had, and all that you will soon have again.
Letting go is having the courage to accept change, and the strength to keep moving. Letting go is growing up.
It’s realizing that the heart can sometimes be the most potent remedy. To let go is to open a door, to clear a path ,
to set you free ..

Dear all. Over the last 18 months I have been asked several times as to whether I run a course specifically in Yoga Nidra. I am pleased that now I can say yes!

This upcoming course will serve as an introduction to the practice of Yoga Nidra. Some breath practice and movement will be included, although the main focus will be on the practice of Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra practice can be deep relaxation and also meditation and during the course we will explore some of the different ways into this practice. Yoga Nidra can help to refine the qualities of wholeness, well being, restfulness and resilience.

If you are approaching to this profound stage in your life or if you are already navigating the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual changes that occur to your body, relationships and your sense of Self, this message is for you.

Menopause is one the most intense transformation a womb holder can undergo.

Society seldom recognizes or honours this life stage as a rite of passage for women. As such women have little support, and even understanding of the true meaning of the menopause.

In our “anti-aging” culture that is only praising the youth, menopause is not seen and honoured for what it is but treated to be something embarrassing and uncomfortable.

We are forced to mask and dispel our symptoms instead of seeing them as the means of initiation, such as through fire in the form of hot flushes. The fire is the element of transformation and hot flushes are nothing but sacred messengers. Their message is to re-examine our values, re-encounter regrets & griefs, wounds & longings, embrace our fierceness and burn through old ways of thinking and living that no longer serve us.

If we want to awaken Shakti, we have to reclaim the dignity and transformation of menopause as a passage to power. In truth, it is a doorway to awakening and liberation from confinement.

As pregnant women give birth to babies (Mother archetype), women at menopausal stage give birth to their higher wisdom. (Crone archetype).

I have enjoyed attending Ryans online courses. He makes you feel included in the class as much as you feel comfortable with. The sanctuary is a fantastic space if you are happy with face to face teaching.
Ryan is a natural He is always learning and updating his knowledge. Highly recommended x

A new set of Yoga Courses will begin this November. These courses will consist of 7 X 90 minute Yoga classes including Posture Practice, Breathwork and Meditation.

In person options are available as well as online options.

Enrolment for these upcoming courses is between 12th October and 19th October. I hope to see you there.
