A warm welcome to Jithin Chacko, the new head chef at Chestnut Lodge and a real culinary whizz! He's very focused on our residents' enjoyment at mealtimes, and just as much on delivering the right nutrients to look after their health.

While Jithin is keeping traditional favourites such as roast dinners, fish and chips and faggots on the menu, he has also added the option of Thai, Italian and German dishes which are proving very popular.

And his cakes!! Just yummy 😜

What an honour for Camelot House and Lodge to be chosen by retired yachtsman Craig Fox-Johnson (his wife Jenny is a resident) as the venue for a donation of specialist kit and clothing to the charity , which provides access to sailing programmes for those living with disability.

Craig and Jenny covered many nautical miles together, including the lengthy voyage down the French canal network to the Mediterranean, and they were keen to ensure the kit they used during their yachting days should benefit others now they no longer use it themselves!

Such fun was had at Avalon's Retro Day! Residents and staff loved dressing up and having photos taken with playful props. We listened to our favourite retro music and did karaoke. Plus retro bingo, dancing and lots of retro games. What a great day!

Our residents at Deer Park had a fun time on , taking part in our very own !
So many laughs, and then a feast of delicious (fresh!) .

Such a great Valentine's weekend at Camelot House and Lodge! 💕

Residents have been busy making love bugs and love potions 🧪 🫧 and heart chains to decorate our love shack ❤️❤️❤️

What enthusiasm from CHL residents for our 'Pick a pet animal adoption' day! They could choose from a variety of cuddly toy animals including guinea pig, giraffe, sausage dog, duck, horse, tiger and even a fish! 🐏🐶🐟🐯🐎🦒

Each resident chose a name for their animal and signed a certificate promising to love and take care of it. Most of them then spent the rest of the day proudly showing their new pet off to the staff and other visitors ❤️

Although there's been no snow outside there has been plenty of snowball-themed fun inside Chestnut Lodge, with a snowball challenge that toured the floors and created lots of laughter and competitiveness!

We ended up with a four-way tie, with Pauline, Peter, Muriel and Caroline all scoring the highest. Well done everybody! 😊

We’ve been doing butterfly art at Camelot House & Lodge as a way of bringing some outdoors joy inside - and never mind the miserable weather!

Residents have loved creating beautiful, colourful butterflies that banish any possibility of the winter blues 🥰

What a fab we had at Butterfly Lodge! Loving Fizz's fab ‘Get Yer Kilt Oot’ T-shirt, and her brilliant poetry reading ❤️
And Dave the Lone Piper is always a welcome guest, and really brings the spirit of Scotland with him.
Thanks to all who helped make our celebrations such a success 🙏

What a lovely time was had by residents of Avalon when Northgate School pupils visited to help us prepare for . Such fun working together on the Scottish flags and having a good old chat! Always so lovely to see them ❤️
