Residents at Butterfly Lodge have been up to all sorts this month!
But colleagues agree nothing says Christmas like hearing them sing a favourite carol or Christmas song, and the smiles on their faces when they're singing and dancing say it all 🎄☃️🎁

Residents at Avalon were delighted to witness a very twinkly sleigh with Santa Claus on board pulling into their car park - complete with smoke, lights and music - courtesy of . There was much jollity and handshakes all round

Newly arrived residents at our recently-opened Deer Park Nursing Home in Holsworthy have enjoyed meeting pupils from Holsworthy CoE Primary School who visited to serenade us with a beautifully rehearsed selection of carols and Christmas songs.

A big thank you to Mrs Blake and Mrs Paddon and the children in the choir for coming to see us and helping make the run-up to Christmas so special for us all!

Other Christmassy activities at Deer Park include making festive decorations, greetings cards, Christmas crafts and decorating Christmas cookies, as well as visits from other local choirs, chocolate quizzes and Christmases past reminiscing.

To celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday our clever residents at Chestnut Lodge designed and wore bonnets in honour of this evergreen author!

And there was plenty of pride in their work but no prejudice 😊

We had such fun at Butterfly Lodge on Elf Day, and raised £50 for Alzheimer's Society.
Full marks to all our amazing team members for their brilliant costumes, and to our lovely residents for entering into the spirit of the day so whole-heartedly!
