The festive season is fast approaching and we know you’d love to wish our staff and residents a very Merry Christmas when you visit this Christmas time.

So, in an effort raise some vital funds for St Margaret's Somerset Hospice and minimise waste, why not write your festive wishes in a star and pop a donation in the pot instead of sending in a Christmas Card.

It’s a win win, our staff and residents receive your festive wishes and a wonderful local charity benefit.

Today we had our annual visit from the Food Standards Agency and we’re pleased to report that we retained our 5 🌟 rating.

Providing safe, nutritious and home cooked food for our residents, just one of the elements that makes up the ‘Special Kind of Care’ we deliver.

🌺 Remembrance Sunday 2025 🌺

Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who served and those who gave their lives for the freedoms we cherish.

At Mountbatten Nursing Home, our residents, staff and visitors will gather in quiet reflection at 11:00 to mark this important day. Together, we’ll share stories, observe a two-minute silence, and wear our poppies with pride in tribute to all who have served across generations.

Their courage and sacrifice remind us of the enduring strength of community, compassion, and peace.

It was lovely to welcome the families of our residents and our staff to Mountbatten tonight for a firework 🎆 🎇 display followed by hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows!

A fab display coordinated by home owner Richard with all the staff pulling together to make it a lovely social gathering for all.

As Remembrance Sunday approaches, we take this time to honour all those who served and those who never came home.

Many of our residents hold precious memories of loved ones who bravely stood for peace and freedom. Today, we remember them all, with love and gratitude.

We will wear our poppies with pride and gratitude. 🌺

💯 HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY BETTY!! 💯

🥳 What a wonderful day celebrating the 100th birthday of one of our lovely residents.

😁 A big beaming smile showed the appreciation Betty had for her family, the staff and our visitors who shared this special day with her and enjoyed some cake!

It’s spooky season and Autumn festival time so it’s time for our awesome pumpkin 🎃 to come back out!

It’s great we can start to use these Great Wall art pieces made by Selworthy Sixth Form Enterprise annually! 🙌
